So after the extended break, seems a bunch of shows have finished their mid-season breaks and are making a return. Along with this, there's a few new shows starting new seasons and some making their debut.
Notably for me: Gotham, Flash, Arrow, Banshee (new season), Empire (new show).
The DC comics duo of Flash and Arrow have far outshone Gotham for me thus far. Probably because I'm a huge Batman fan and feel like the entire concept is being butchered and poorly translated to the small screen.
Banshee - although, kind of strange at times - has been quite enjoyable, and is one of the few shows I'm certainly anticipating the return of. Found the combination of Amish, Native American, Skinheads & homosexual Asian folk to be quite intriguing. Anyone else watch Banshee? I actually only realized a little into the second season that the main actor was a New Zealander who played big roles in a number of Australian films/TV shows.
For those not familiar with Empire, the show stars Terrence Howard as the CEO of a hip-hop record label. Although it's at risk of being too one-dimensional, I'm willing to give it a chance on the basis that TH has the lead role and I've a personal interest in the concept of the operations of record label management. Anyone else planning on tuning in for this one?
