Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Delly is 4-17 tonight. He's taken the second most shots of anyone on the team tonight. Yikes.

14 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Yes, he was only 5-18 but Love was 6 for 19 and nobody seems to give a shit.

Cavs punted the game, couldn't be more obvious.

What is significant is that they still trusted Delly to be the third-best ball handler over Shumpert for most of the game. Shumpert looked less like a combo guard than fans expected, more of a swing man who can occasionally pass the rock when he feels like it.

Yeah, Shumpert is a good player, but he's can't handle the ball or pass like a point guard. How he played PG in college is honestly beyond me.

He's not horrible playing 10-15 minutes a game like we usually have him play. But it should come to no surprise what a train wreck it is when he's asked to play starter minutes, and do more like he did tonight.

rather Shump do the backup PG duties then see Delly on the court for over 30mins again. Team went on a run when Delly was out and Blatt put him in and all hell broke loose again.

I don't remember when I last saw him attempt a jumper, if he is closer than the 3 point line its a heave or a forced runner-floater thing

Post #1748? :conf (11):

I realize such plays are rare...

I can't stress enough how little games without Kyrie, LeBron, and at the ass end of a back to back matter when assessing players. The Indiana game featured 30 minutes of starting small forward James Jones. James Jones has been terrible. Delly is here to play off the stars and space the floor, instead he was playing with other floor spacers who happened to fail at shooting in this game as well.

And the James Jones thread, for all his suckitude, has been without comment since December 9th.

This game was the reason i thought we needed Dion. JR and Shumpert did well, but neither could break down the d. No one could. That's why they tried so many 3's.

Delly is fine. He should not have put up so many shots.

I don't get the love for Delly. He is not good enough of a player to be a 2nd stringer on a championship team. I'd much rather take my chances with a free agent like Nate Robinson or Jordan Farmar.
