There's no conspiracy among a lot of long time RCF posters who aren't jumping head over heels with Blatt. There is no anti-antisemitism or anti-foreign bias. We've just been done this road before where any criticism of a coach (i.e. Mike Brown) was papered away by the fact that the team was winning. It took a potential top 5 player of all time leaving and and multiple failures before that argument about how great a coach Mike Brown was/is to die off.

Also criticizing a coach's moves comes with the territory. I'll repeat it again, by definition, if you are an NBA coach you are among the best in the world. A replacement level NBA coach is going to be a very good coach in almost any other area. For example, I think he's been ok: some good, some bad. Overall, good enough.

I think some Cavs fans are just so traumatized by the Mike Brown era that they fail to realize that Blatt is not Mike Brown and that this team is not the 2009-2010 team. It's almost as though the RS winning scares them because they are prone to believe that winning in the RS is always followed by a disappointing post season. No one can guarantee that the Cavs will win the championship or even make the finals, but no one can guarantee these things with regards to any team. This current team has shown that it can move the ball beautifully when it wants/has to. Yes, sometimes there is to much iso and it gives everyone Mike Brown flashback, but that's pretty much all you got from the Mike Brown teams. This team is much more versatile and has a much better shot at a championship than MB's teams ever had.

If all of this is to be believed, Lebron James has to be the greatest basketball player of all time. I mean, Jordan has 6 rings and all but, Lebron is currently one of the best GMs, Coaches, and an MVP caliber player all rolled into one! What a load of horse dick...

I seriously hate it when people call him the GM and the Coach...so fucking stupid and naive.

This isn't criticizing a coach's moves though. It's reporting that something is happening that IS NOT happening. LeBron is not calling the play and then Blatt repeats calling what LeBron did. They are making things up about him that we can see with our own eyes are false.

I think even if he takes a championship the media will still say "ohh it's Lebron's team, they won a title in-spite of Blatt not thanks to him"

Maybe he needs to go 82-0 next season to gain some respect...

Correction... 96-0 or else the media will claim he ran his team in to the ground and they weren't up to snuff in the playoffs.

It's ridiculous to ignore the contributions of the rest of the organization, but it's not exactly untrue either. James does consult on trades - he has recruited players, and he does break-off what the coach wants, and calls/modifies plays at will.

These are privileges that many star players have enjoyed, but perhaps never to the extent that LeBron enjoys.

Does it mean he always calls his own play and never does what the coach is asking? I don't think so, and I'd love to see Windy provide some evidence of this observation, but that's too much work.

So therefore antisemitism? Give me a break: media tends to sensationalize and every one and their mother knows Lebron tends to break off play calls. Is Windy exaggerating and it's really no different then what James has done his entire career? Maybe but that's life in the NBA when you have a megastar like James.

I was pointing out that it was a theory brought up by the comments on the Deadspin article. Not that it actually is beyond a reasonable doubt.

Once again ive never seen a team getting scrutinized so much like the cavs this season. If we lose we hear it 24/7 but if we win,we still hear false rumors about love or blatt half the time.It is so annoying but once you see the cavs play you can tell everyone is on board and they all want to win. Im not taking this season for granted im going to enjoy it cause anything can happen after this season or anytime and we can go back to 2010 through 2014 era where there was a million things to whine about.

I seen Blatt plays and Bron plays when the mix is right the team and the player exploits a hole then the team can't be beat. When Kyrie and LeBron try to iso and break plays is where the problem is. Also when we run a Blatt play right it is like the Spurs kind of ball movement. I think Blatt has last say but he has to let Bron do so if he feels fit. After all this is the NBA and all super stars due this.
So I do not care who is running what as long as they are understand of it and it works and wins us games. The thing Blatt has done right and wrong is the rotations and handling a few players. In the NBA every is more shallow yet more complex. Blatt got handed a player who is as much a voice as the coach and that is not Blatts fault. For what he got handed he is doing very well. I do not mean wins I mean not losing his head,

People also make too big of a deal about LeBron running the show. It isn't exactly unheard of. Look at history. If you watched the 30 for 30 on the Bad Boy Pistons, who had hall of fame coach Chuck Daly, Isaiah Thomas was involved heavily in decisions, including the big Adrian Dantley trade. MJ kept him off the Olympic team a few years later. Players have always had a certain degree of power. And there is cohesion with the roster. I'm pretty sure Blatt liked the moves as much as LeBron, perhaps more. After all, Blatt has never had a bad thing to say about JR.

Take a look at this AP report.

IMO, reads like a functional team environment. Oh, and Love is still not well, which is of far greater practical concern than Windy's rumor mongering.

INDEPENDENCE, OHIO — LeBron James stayed on the floor after practice to go over plays with Cleveland's coaches and work on his post-up game. He knows what's ahead.

With just a handful of games left in the regular season, James and the Cavaliers are slowly shifting into playoff mode. They've got a key matchup on Thursday with Miami, a potential first-round opponent, before facing Chicago on Sunday.

Cavs coach David Blatt gave his players the past two days off to clear their minds and rest their bodies.

James said the break was beneficial and that he and his teammates came back "really sharp."

Forward Kevin Love, who has been bothered by a back issue most of the season, said the time off helped. However, Blatt said Love did not take part in any contact during practice and will be a game-time decision against the Heat.

Hey Windy, I have a tip for you. Look in the same story:

Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt, center, listens to Kyrie Irving during a timeout in the third quarter of an NBA basketball game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Cleveland. The Cavaliers won 87-86. MARK DUNCAN — AP Phot

It's not Lebron. It's Kyrie. It's been Kyrie all along! See, he talks and Blatt just listens! :bigshock:
