Nobody wants to hear your political opinion.

It's less a political opinion than an actual fact considering they got called out for publishing a hit piece on a Senate candidate that had to be withdrawn.

I wonder what Blatt will actually have to do to earn respect in the NBA. Is he a failure in his first year if he does not deliver a championship? That seems pretty harsh considering where this team was in December.

On a side note, friends and I went to Haufbrauhaus in Cleveland Saturday. I went home afterwards (at 4:30-5ish), friends went out to more bars. First bar they went to they met David Blatt. Talked to him a bit, had a beer. Said he was a super nice guy.

I'm super pissed considering I'm the only real Cavs fan in the group (ie I actually watch games). Damn dog having to be let out..

I am personally 100% behind this man. He did not ask to be thrust into the national spotlight. That was not the job description he signed up for or was expecting. Yet he handled it as professionally as possible all the way through.

He has done so despite the fact that Lebron has consistently undermined him and disrespected him.

The media love to have him as their little inside joke and smugly chuckle at their perception of his ineptitude as a coach and all he has done is lead his team to the best record since January.

Blatt is a great coach and I hope for him to be the cavs head man for the rest of his coaching career

The only other option is Mark Jackson who wouldn't touch Cleveland with a10 foot pole until Lebron was here. Blatt wanted to come to Cleveland and likes it here.

I dunno. I'd only trade him for Carlisle or Pop and they both have jobs. 3 coaches in 3 years. We need some continuity.

And if we disappoint in the playoffs, this will only get worse.

The playoffs are going to wipe out all the gossip and speculation. Assuming the team stays healthy, then --

--if we don't make the finals then Blatt's job is in trouble, since Cleveland looks like the most talented team personnel-wise in the East. Trouble is even worse if he is clearly outcoached by Budenholzer or Thibodeau en route to a series loss.

--if we make the finals and compete, even if we lose, then I think Blatt's job is secure.

--if we win the finals Blatt can write his ticket.

All the gossip and talk right now is basically because we have seen what we are going to see in the regular season and there is no more real 'news' until the playoffs start. Playoff performance will determine everything for realz.

There will still be plenty of people out there suggesting that we should fire Blatt AND hire Calipari regardless if we win the title or not, or make the finals..The sensationalism out there is ridiculous. Hopefully it backfires on them and results in an extra fired-up Blatt. Some of these idiot journalists that think they should be running franchises wonder why Blatt is rubbed the wrong way by the media so much...And it's not just in Blatt's case.

I think LeBron got fed up with ESPN's loose lips, dropped a false rumor on them that he was returning to Miami and stood back and laughed as it spread like wildfire across the entire organization. Now they're getting their revenge and showing their power to create a narrative that other lazy members of the media (TNT) can't help but pickup.

Check out SI for instance (the organization James selected to publish his return announcement). Chris Mannix was recently asked whether Kevin Love should stay in Cleveland, and his reply didn't even mention any reports that Kevin wants to leave, it just said that he's still an elite player and that the Cavs have to re-sign him. He said these sorts of questions "made very little sense".

James may want to re-consider, and kiss and make up with ESPN, because while he can handle the heat ... the rest of the team doesn't really need it. I suppose he knows the best answer is always just to win.

I think even if he takes a championship the media will still say "ohh it's Lebron's team, they won a title in-spite of Blatt not thanks to him"

Maybe he needs to go 82-0 next season to gain some respect...
