Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
His game reminds me of Delonte's...high energy, great midrange shot, decent from 3, occasional power drive to the basket, pesky defender, gets to most 50/50 balls.

Except bigger and has his act together... So he is on another level from delonte

Have loved his recent play, especially his mid-range shooting. He really uses his decent height for his position to rise up and shoot over his, usually much smaller, opponent. Shooting off the dribble from mid-range after rising up is money for shump, and he has come up big for us in the last few games with much needed easy 2's.

Its no coincidence that Rose couldn't hit the rim in the last 3 quarters of game 5... Shump was all over him. Roses wrist just magically started hurting on misses? Just a soft mentality that was brought about by Shumpert giving him nothing all night. I like it.

Combine this with the groin trouble he has been playing through, Starting role, defending Rose so well and now finally being full health... Shump is a new favourite to watch and was one hell of a pick up.

They interviewed Shump before the shootaround this morning, he's quickly become one of my favorite cavs through this series not just because of his defense but he also just seems like a cool guy. I really liked this quote, when Allie asked if there was any element of survival when it comes to this moment, and he said "No, it's pretty much trying to slit a throat here. We've got to go in and go for it."

Delonte had a more reliable shot but comparable games in a lot of other aspects.

Yes I love me some Brother Red but Shump has alot more upside. It's easy to forget Shump is only 24. If he could improve his handle he would be one of the better all around SG's in the league based on his skill set - he has the whole package on D, and his offense is underrated.

shump is taller than delonte too

if shump had delonte's post game...

What a coup that trade was by Griffin. Shump and JR are just about perfect players
for the Cavs. It will be interesting watching what kind of salary demands they will
demand.

Phil will probably be expecting the Cavs to vote him a playoff share.

Anyone noticed that since that trade and since the Cavs started playing good ball a couple of the true Ride or Die Dion Waiters posters have just vanished?

+26 tonight. Healthy Shump in this series has been tremendous. He's pushing the ball, shutting whoever (Rose/Butler) down, getting blocks and steals, grabbing boards, and bringing energy. He's often one of the best players on the court even when his jumper isn't falling. Honestly, when his jumper is falling, few players make the impact he does.

I was thinking about Cassius today. Lol.

Shump and Butler should workout together again this summer.
