Honestly I'm surprised to see so much griping about the refs in here. Outside of the first round (which was just terrible) I've seen refs who consistently allow bumping and light contact, and haven't been over zealous to call the flop. As a result, we're being treated to teams actually attempting to play true vertical defense for the first time in at least 5 years.
After watching the flop feat that was Heat vs. Pacers and then Heat vs. San Antonio, it's a huge breath of full air. I'm not sure I'd be enjoying this run as much if Mozgov fell back 10 feet when Teague bumped him in the lane to draw a foul.
I think the refs are also doing a phenomenal job of calling the games fairly. They get calls wrong on occasion, but never favoring on team or the other to heavily IMO.
Has the decreased calls and this increased physicality contributed to the increase in post season injuries? Perhaps, but I hope the NBA keeps this up; it's infinitely better basketball.
