"Live ball physical taunt."

Jesus Almighty. That's............woooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Taunted him by hitting his knee with his head. That's an honest response from Ken Mauer.

My god if these Refs don't get reprimanded for that bullshit. When you mess up a call, you had sure as shit better come up with a more decent lie than this one.

As I mentioned in the game thread....this allows the narrative of Delly being a dirty player to keep going (although it seems a lot of the media pundits have already backed down a bit).

I have no idea where the idea that Delly purposely rolled into Korver came from. Show me anything that mentioned it PRIOR to the Horford incident tonight (it still doesn't give any credence to it being true, at all).

Of course, the infamous scissorgate is what everyone will fall back to in order to show "a history" of that behavior.

However, Blatt stated it perfectly when he said that, indeed, Delly has a history - a history of working his butt off.

NBA players from the 80's/90's would kick the asses of today's players.

I just can't wrap my mind around why diving for loose balls is bad now. Someone tell Korver you don't call dibs on a loose ball. You may have to get down there to get it.

The worst part is former players like Reggie Miller, who was THE BIGGEST INSTIGATOR OF HIS TIME, calling Delly out.

It kept me up last night trying to wrap my mind around how this can be construed completely different from what I saw.

Also, how does anyone argue Horford being kicked out? You'd effectively be saying it's ok to forearm/elbow drop someone in plain sight in the upper back/neck area.

I'm still pissed about it..

The foul on Dellavadova (after the notorious Horford foul)

Where Delly was backpedaling, his arms weren't one iota extended, shuffling backwards and Delly is called for a foul.

He didn't touch, he didn't extend, he didn't impede the progress and he was called for a defensive foul.

It was one of the worst fouls I have ever seen called.

That Tech was one hundred percent political. "Live ball physical taunt" my hairy ass. It was only to appease the media and the hawks fans because they can't handle the fact that a little australian un drafted PG is far into the head of their "franchise player" that he's practically telling them what they want for breakfast in their dreams.

well there was four of those in game 2.

Well, since it's no big deal according to the national media and the NBA, since there was no further suspension, is it okay then and merely a single ejection for one of our bigs to elbow chop Teague and then pounce on his arm with said big's ass?

On a different note.. I got to ask you people something,
I was just watching the GS VS Houston game and 6 min into the 4th GS started the HACK-A-(complete name) tactic..
I DON'T GET IT!!!
How come this is allowed? and why aren't they solving this already???
I come from euroball and its a real non issue.. it's plain something not worthy in Europe and for a very logic reason:
In NBA there is the Flagrant fouls system.. In Europe there something called - 'Technical foul' which is a foul commited with excessive force / out of the ordinary reaction - talking too much to reffs etc..
And a "non sportsmanlike foul" - which is a foul that is commited that has no sports like reason (such has hugging/fouling a player not handling the ball).
In close games in Europe you always see the defenders running to the ball player trying to foul knowing that fouling "just" a player will result in this "non sports foul". BTW - this kind of foul will result in 2 Free throws and maintaining position of the ball...
Why won't the NBA adopt this approach and instantly kill this stupid far from sports horrible tactic???

You people allow the ball to be touched after it hits the rim while it's on the cylinder and your balls are multi-colored.

Get outttaaa heeerrreeee.

MAKE YA FRRE THROWS. It's funny....people want the rules to change because guys who get paid millions to put a ball in a hoop.....can't put a ball in a hoop.

Lol c'mon man!

My issue with the "hack a smith" was that at that point, the warriors werent even playing bball. Now in no way do i excuse j smith from missing all those free throws, im just saying as a fan, that is worse to watch than flopping.

Fouls are inherently something that should not happen/ be avoided/limit to extent=> that is why you get punished for doing it few times (6 in nba), in return people mostly play BBall and sometimes Kill a Bron midair... With your argument I might as well say there is no need for fouls at all => if its not a foul in aussie rugby than y should it be on the bball court? Man Up and Delly yourself!!
This hack a player has nothing to do with basketball since its an action that happens regardless to where the play is at.. While it happens => nothing that can be called bball is seen on court and I suggest solving the matter in a more intersting way like playing pick up sticks...just as good...

There is a simple solution to this...and you're not going to like it:

MAKE YA DAMN FREE THROWS

You are very right. But it doesn't change the fact that fouling a player without the ball is not a sport thing to do. I like sport. Action, moving ball, passing, jumping.. You like static thrill of anticipation - and thats what baseball is for. I prefer a clean dynamic bball game.. Matter of taste eventually I see..

And Btw - knowing that a player has shitty FT % is not to be ignored, the opposite. Players should be aware of that and try and foul him IN GAME. It makes for such an added fun dynamic to game. e.g inbounding the ball to your best FT% player in final seconds of a game while the D is trying to prevent that. Currently in The NBA its really non factor since u can just walk over to the shitty FT player and give him a nice warm hugsy.. :)
