Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watching NBA TV post-game and they're still discussing the Delly VS Horford situation. They're referring to Delly being involved in a number of "skirmishes" in the Playoffs thus far, explicitly making reference to the Korver injury.

Did I miss the memo? When did a hustle play and two players scrapping for possession resulting in accidental injury become a "skirmish"? Does that now mean that any time two players go for the ball and one comes out wounded, that's a "dirty" play?

Glad AC and Fred are calling out Reggie Miller for calling Delly a dirty player.

Those are strong words with no basis.

What did they say?

The play against Taj was the closest thing he's done to dirty in the entire playoffs, and that was:

(A) retaliation for being fucking shoved on his face and

(B) quick enough that there was zero risk Taj would fall.

He made that play with the intention of getting Taj riled up enough to retaliate in front of the refs.

The Korver play, he literally just hustled for the ball.

The Horford play, everything that happened to Delly's body on that play was as the result of something Horford did to him intentionally.

This is why I keep saying I don't understand why networks insist on employing people who make games less enjoyable for the people watching them.

Reggie knows goddamn well what happened there, but he knows just as well it will get people talking tomorrow if he pretends he doesn't.

I don't get it.

Delly's contract value has tripled this post season.

Someone is going to offer this guy north of $5 million (at least) this off-season because guys like him help your team win.

Dude has earned every last dollar of it.

He's that guy that every other team and fan base hates but man do you love him if he's on your team.

This is all clearly shown in the front side replay . Any Atlanta fan who views this and doesn't see those facts is delusional.

Problem is it isn't Atlanta fans who even bitch the most. You have Lakers, Heat, and Celtics fans screaming murder in every direction. Are you seeing some pattern here, friends?

Yeah, a lot of fans of teams who didn't even make the playoffs or already got eliminated are bored and have a lot of time on their plates.

Relish the fact that we are soon to be one of only 2 fanbases that actually still get to talk on the court basketball.

Just gotta say this team is complete. We now have that " one who everyone hates to the bones but would love to have him on the team" guy.

The over the top criticism of Delly by Reggie Miller and a few others is suspect and maybe from the ugliest of places.

Reggie Miller went on to say other (besides Delly) dirty NBA players includes Bill Laimbeer and "sometimes" Rick Mahorn. You can see his mind set.

How come almost no one sees Horford pulling Delly? Its crazy that they are pinning anything on Delly. Not to mention apparently people felt Delly intentionally hurt Korver. I just don't get it. But whatever, I know the kind of guy Delly is, and glad he is here.
