Dwyane Wade Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So I give it a one percent chance of happening but this does open up the ultimate fu to Rileyif Wade says f it f u lol. Again one percent chance don't close the thread just yet lol

There's 0% chance Wade ends up in Cleveland.

He is not signing for the mini-MLE, it makes absolutely no sense for him to do so.

Wade is not going ring-chasing. He's already got 3, and he was more than willing to re-sign in Miami and they have no chance of coming out of the East.

Wade would have to be very, very, very, very, very pissed to come here for that. And even then, I doubt it.

The kind of money he's leaving on he table. Even if he badly wants to stick it to Miami and Riley, I doubt he does it at the cost of so much money.

That would be shocking.

I think he's going to be back in Miami, and Riley is going to win. I don't think opting out was a good idea for Wade, personally.

He should have opted in, and put more pressure on Riley to trade him, or else he's walking in 2016.

Opting out of 16 million is risky for him.

I agree.. Wade's move should have been to opt in; at least, if he had any intention of playing for a contender.

At this point, I think the odds are that he leaves Miami. I don't think he'll gladly take a pay cut, and teams like Los Angeles and New York will gladly offer him what he's asking.

I agree it is very very unlikely. What if four days from now after an argument from Riley in a drunken rage he calls Lebron lbj has griff fax over the mini mid level while Wade is still wasted and he signs it. I am keeping the one percent open for that scenario

That's true, he might leave, but it will be interesting how it all shakes out.

What if the Lakers seriously get LMA.

Spurs get Gasol.

The Knicks decide they rather pay Monroe, than Wade.

If that happens, I don't know what Wade will do. Maybe that doesn't all happen, but shit, he will lose if all the teams with cap space decide to go elsewhere, then Miami holds all the leverage.

I really hope he leaves though. I don't think the Lakers would be that interested in him now, given they'd have Russell.

Russell, Kobe, and Wade would be a disaster.

But hopefully the Knicks make a strong play for him.

Lol.. agents would never let that happen -- and.. there is a labor dispute on the horizon this time next year. The players will claim they are underpaid, and Wade and LeBron will be a major part of those negotiations.

Wade has shown a willingness to take less money throughout his career, but $13M/yr (26M total before we'd have his bird rights) is just too much.

I forgot Dallas. If they miss out on Jordan, I could see him there.

After all, Ellis isn't a guaranteed to come back.

If things shake out a certain way, Wade's best option might just be signing with Toronto.

Could be a decent team if they signed Wade, and West. Just one thought.

Trade the Miami life, to be Canadian?

I'm kidding, I know Toronto is a beautiful city.

I should change it to half of one percent. But I could see Wade getting so pissed with Riley that he freaks out and decides that he will take a huge pay cut for a year based on pissed off emotion with the help of alcohol. I say keep this thread open because technically my scenario is possible. put me down for half of one percent Gour.

Lol..

Fine.. half of one percent sounds reasonable.. ;)

But FYI, it isn't less money for a year, it's less money for 2 years. He won't be able to make that money back.

He can do a two year deal with a one year out.

Why bother? We still wouldn't have his bird rights, and we still couldn't go over the cap to sign him.

Only reason we can with LeBron is because there's a cap hold in place already.

I've never seen someone get so pissed, where they throw millions and millions of dollars away, just from spite.

Wade might as well just check himself into Cleveland clinic.

He's the ultimate business guy, much like LeBron. He has an ego, and feelings, but at the end of the day he's going to want his money, and isn't going to leave that on the table.

I mean it all depends imo. I don't know Wade, never will, but it's an interesting scenario, and they are the type of team that will over pay for him.

They have 25ish million to play with in cap space. If Wade is looking big money, they might not be a bad partner from an on court perspective either. They're a team of role players, some high caliber role players (Lowry, Demar), and some decent ones (JV, Williams).

A team of Lowry, Wade, Derozan, West, JV isn't that bad.

With the news LMA is taking a meeting with Toronto (about a 1% shot if that), maybe they could sell Wade and LMA on playing together? In theory they could clear the cap (with our help;) ) to both pay Wade, and pay LMA.

I always look for the Cavs angle.
