Tristan Thompson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who would those bigs be? David Blatt used TT to finish games all last season over Mozgov. He's their second best big behind Love. The Cavs have no idea what Andy has left. They can't replace TT easily with what he can do.

A rebounding specialist is not the 2nd best big on the Cavs. Not even close.

TT closed out 4th quarters because Blatt's defensive strategy is to switch. He's got better lateral mobility than Moz, but is nowhere near as important to our defensive schemes.

Ed Davis has put up similar statistics on vet minimum contracts.

Seems like every year another scrub big ends up putting up stats, don't sit here and act like TT is a cornerstone of any franchise. He's a role player that has one specialty but thinks he deserves to be paid as if he was the #1 or #2 option.

Love, Mozgov, and Andy could be a rotation. The point I was making is if he says he isn't going to resign after the QO, it makes sense to figure out what they got vs giving burn to a guy who is going to walk. Better to figure out if Mozgov is worth giving big money to than giving more playing time to TT.

If this goes worst case for TT I hope everyone knows this opens the door for a Mozgov max deal.

So once again who is TT flexing on in this situation?

Also what kind of threat is it that he wont play for Cleveland next year if the deal isnt done? We'll likely be the title favorites until LeBron retires.

Ok bitch go to the damn Lakers they'll probably give you 94 million.

If he signs the QO, still have his bird rights. Total BS that he would leave in 2016 lmao. If it's all about the money as it appears now, why would he leave the Cavs when they can offer more than any other team next summer?

Nice try Rich Paul...too bad David Griffin is smarter than the average fan (that gets reeled in every time on big headlines) and won't fall for the empty threats.

This is like Jay-Z threatening Beyoncé by saying he'll leave her for Caitlyn Jenner.

If he wanted to sell this threat he should've said TT would sign with GS or SAN or something. Like piss off everyone involved. Don't say some dumb shit that basically equates to "Sign me to this dumbass deal or I'm going to take less money, less years, and play on a worse team."

Interesting that many/most of Thompson's stats have incrementally diminished each of the past three seasons, yet his value has exponentially increased (at least in his and RP's eyes).

His direct impact on win totals has been well-documented when playing on non-LeBron teams. People should not forget that.

When did I say he was substantially better? I just rank TT > Moz in the Cavs' front court. Doesn't mean it's by a lot.

Nah....

There's very little separation between Mozgov and Tristan. I don't see any credible argument that Thompson is substantially better than Moz.

If that's the case, then don't let the door hit you in the ass Tristan.... you are very replaceable.

Kyrie: 2 Time All-Star, All Star Game MVP, 2014 FIBA World CUP MVP [5 Years, 90 Million]

Tristan: Backup to an Top Tier PF, Offensive Rebounding Specialist [5 Years, 94 Million]

Makes sense. :concern:
