2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone have any opinion on Seth Russell the QB from Baylor? Just saw from gifs of him, seems to have a decent arm.
I watch a bit of Baylor. He started one game last year and won against a Freshman this year. He has an absolute cannon arm. The issue is he plays in a gimmicky, big-12 offense. Baylor is more pro-style than a lot of those teams but they run the same ten plays over and over again. My bet is he stays another year. If not he could be a good second/third round pick for a team where he can sit and develop.

Watched two of Paxton Lynch's games. Here's my thoughts:

  • If he misses, he misses long
  • Seemed to lack touch on passes <5 yards
  • Great touch on his deep ball though
  • Threw off his back foot a lot
  • Seemed to be a comparable athlete to Luck,Rodgers
  • Only saw a few throws where he had to read through all his progressions but he made good reads
  • Has solid pocket presence
He's intriguing, I'd be curious to see how he works from under center.

No chance Farmer drafts a WR within the first six rounds. He's still working on building a line in front of Nick Marshall. Two down lineman incoming.

Is there any chance Farmer is around next year if Johnny and Shelton both look below average?

It's more about having to give up on West and probably soon Gilbert while getting limited production out of rounds 2 and 3 this year. Maybe Duke will change that with more reps, but I doubt it with how bad the interior lines run blocking has been

And even if he did, you still have the Orchard and Cooper being inactive problem

But this still is a systemic issue on how bad the background checks were in 2014 and then Farmer going overboard to get good citizens in response this year with someone like Shane Ray sitting there at 19

He might actually be the worst or second worst drafter they've had.

Butch probably the worst, but it's going to be close.

You spelled Mangini wrong

Edit: Actually nevermind, the Banner/Lombardi 2013 is worse than Mangini's Magnum opus. Even with the awful trade down, Alex Mack beats Armonty Bryant

So we going with F-Off for Goff or?

#Fail for Cardale? More like #Flail with Cardale.

Give me a QB who can make a progression, please.
