I love your optimism. I'm just not sure I share it.

It is Cleveland we're talking about, so I get it.

The reason Cleveland teams choke isn't because of a curse or luck. It's because their teams have generally never had the talent to dominate teams comfortably or make big runs in big games like the Pats, Spurs and Steelers have for so many years.

Those teams have all played close games in the finals/Super Bowl too, but they've also had a lot of chances to win and they've had the veterans that can hold leads when things get tough.

Go back to all the Browns, Indians and Cavs teams that choked and you'll see players that hadn't played a lot of games at the level where they choked.

Anyways...

While Kyrie and Love haven't played many playoff games...The rest of the team played a shitload of them together last year. Mo and Jefferson have played a lot of them as well.

The only thing standing in the way of this team is injuries. And the problem is that they are likely for Love, Kyrie, Shump and Varejao and LeBron has a weak back.

I'll back off my optimism if they lose LeBron and one of the big 3 in the playoffs, but until then this is the best team in the league. And it has the potential to be one of the greatest teams ever.

Love it. In the meantime, I will be optimistic vicariously, through you.

And three starters who are capable of 37% or better and will likely be spending a lot of time on the bench.

I keep saying it, but it bears repeating. This is one of the most talented teams of all time. Might be top 3

I was excited about RJ's addition, but i had no clue how great of a shooter he had become. He is also still decently athletic and just a really smart player.

The addition of Mo i knew would also be a perfect fit for backup pg.

When healthy, we now have the ability to give players days off on the back or front end of back to backs and we are still putting top level rotation players out there.

And the shooting, we have 10 or so players capable of shooting 3's at about 40%, even Shump shot 40% from 3 his 2nd year and he is our 10th best 3 point shooter.

That is crazy deep. (i am not counting Harris, he has to be capable of getting meaningful minutes to count, lol)

I caught about a minute of the game. It was in the fourth with 7 minutes left and the Cavs were up by about 30. LeBron was still in the game. LeBron shouldn't be playing in the fourth when they start it being up by 20.

I think he was trying to get some rhythm. He looks rusty. He played a pretty easy game. They used garbage time to try stuff out

With him playing this well..makes you wonder how he's going to find time to play once Kyrie comes back.

Kyrie is going to have to outplay Delly if he wants back in the rotation. Lol

Best thing about last night besides Love, were the 50 bench points. Awesome to see!

Still working on chemistry.
Kevin still a little rusty.
Mozgov 2-3 weeks away from being 100%.
Need to figure out best rotations.
$82M man missed training camp.
No Shump or KI.
2nd night of back to back.

Grizz by 9...if Lebron doesn't play...Grizz by 16. It's going to be bumpy for a bit.
No need to panic.

Good game by Cunningham but people talking about him getting in the rotation? Seems INCREDIBLY unlikely. Cavs are missing two guys that are going to play a combined 60 minutes.

If JC were bigger, he'd have a shot at logging minutes behind LeBron but with Kyrie / Shump coming back and Delly / Mo playing at a high level, there's just no minutes there.

He may get some burn when we rest guys on back-to-backs, which would be a nice luxury but the Cavs have 11 guys who are contributors on a title team. Through 2 games, 9 guys have played 11 minutes or more. Obviously some of those scale back as we move forward but the Cavs honestly have the most crowded rotation in the league.

Cunningham's best bet is playing well enough (until Shump and KI get back) for the Cavs to keep in him the whole year. If not, play well enough for another team to pick him up. There are 5 quality NBA players at the two guard spots.....breaking in to that rotation would mean head take a quantum leap as a player. Not impossible, just highly highly highly improbable.

Stuck with the Grizzlies feed watching the game, found a torrent of FSO's feed. Will be watching again after work in about 8 hrs

This team is brilliant. The only team that can beat us in a play off series when we are healthy is.........oh wait....there isn't one.

The 1997 Indians had the sickest lineup ever put together. How they managed to not win still boggles my mind.
Having said that, this team, if healthy, might be one of the greatest ever put together when all is said and done. I still, for just five to eight minutes in a single game, want to see Mo, KI, JR., Love, and LeBron at the 5. We will give up some buckets, but we will score them as well
