I’m gonna go ahead and give Mo the “Most Valuable Non-Star Player” award so far in this early season for our team. We’d be in trouble without his offensive production. AND he’s a big reason why we’re not seeing as much LeISO this season.

In the last 30 years during the regular season, only 4 players have scored 29+ points on 9 or fewer shots:

Andres Nocioni, 30 points on 9 shots, 18 FTA
Corey Maggette, 29 points on 9 shots, 17 FTA
Chauncey Billups, 29 points on 7 shots, 19 FTA
Tim Perry, 29 points on 9 shots, 7 FTA


Only one other player has scored 29+ points on 9 or fewer shots while making at least 4 threes (Tim Perry).

No player has done so and also collected 2 steals in the same game.

ETA: As AllforOne points out, these are regular season numbersl In the playoffs, Boobie 31 on 9 shots, 15 FTA
and Dwight H., 29 on 9, 18 FTA.

Not true! Boobie scored 31 points on 9 shots for us. Game 6 against Detroit in 2007.

Unless your list only includes regular season performances.

Sensational performance in the season so far. He's delivering every bit, he can even defend at one on one sometimes. Actually he's a top backup PG in the league, underpaid. What a great signing this was. When Kyrie is back and Mo can be used as a rotation player, it will be a beautiful sighting.
 
I love Mo. He fits perfectly. He is money from all over the court. He's a solid floor general..


I'll just say,if its a Cle/GS finals again...with Mo and RJ out there....we won't have to worry about those 2 minute 14, point swings because we'll throw it right back at them.

This team is special.
