So Long, Mo Gotti Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We all know Mo defense sucks

Idk why people are surprised

It sucked before it will suck now and it's going to suck until he retires.

It's not that he's bad at defense it's that he's one of the worst at it.

Luckily he's not our 2nd/3rd best player now

Yea I don't know what people are talking about when it comes to his defense. There is no better effort. He's literally one of the very worst defensive guards in the league and has been his entire career. We knew this.

And it's not for lack of trying - he's just an awful combination of no instincts, below average quickness for his position, and no physical advantage over the guys he's guarding.

Yeah this is why he's supposed to be a backup PG for this team. We knew he was a bad defender, but he can provide a great offensive spark off the bench.

Kyrie may be a below-average defender, but he's nowhere near the sieve that Mo is, and his offense is also obviously better, which further makes up for it.

I can't even get mad at Mo for his defensive futility, because he's doing enough on the other side of the ball to make him worth well over what he's being paid. I mean he's putting up near All Star level numbers, yet he's supposed to be our backup PG.

Kyrie is actually a very good defender when he wants to be. It's just a matter of getting him to consistently give that effort that is the issue. Most couldn't defend well if he wanted to is one, big difference.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams will not play in tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

He was listed a questionable coming in.

He is dealing with a sore right lower leg, Head coach David Blatt said Williams just showed up for morning shootaround in pain.

Mo Williams (right ankle) will not play in Saturday's game against the Hawks due to posterior right ankle inflammation.

He's also doubtful to play on Monday and the report added he's feeling continued soreness. Williams has taken a lot of time to get over injuries in the past, so inflammation showing up in the MRI suggests he could miss several games. Matthew Dellavedova should put up decent numbers in the next week and is worth a look if you need a point guard in the short term. Per Rotoworld.com

Good grief, wait is Mo really going to be out a couple of games?

Guys are just dropping like flies. In a couple weeks, it's just going to be LeBron...

So...When everyone comes back, does he even play?

I can't see us going to an 11-man rotation, so if it is 10, right now I think I'd go with Delly-JR-RJ-TT-Andy. With Andy showing he has some ball left in the tank, and Mo showing that defense doesn't pertain to him, do you even play him consistently?

Mo will definitely play. He was supposed to the backup guard not the guy assigned to Lowry. His defense wont be exposed nearly as much by second string guards and there will be times when you cant buy a bucket and you need someone who can put the ball in the hoop. Think of Barbaso vs Livingston in the way the Warriors used both of them.
