Game 16: Cavs @ Hornets, Thursday, November 27, 2015, 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Like you said, most of his shots were 3s. My point is, even during some of these good games Kevin is having, they're not getting the most out of him, even still.

The biggest difference between Kevin this year, and last year, is he's just CLEARLY healthy.

But make no mistake, we still aren't completely sure how to get the best out of him either. That relationship is still a long way off.

My frustration is simple. LeBron played too many minutes tonight, Kevin was riding the pine. I think it was more because of lack of trust/familiarity than anything.

Blatt wanted to win this game bad enough to bring LB in the game earlier than needed.

Stuff like this is where I wish he'd have some Pop discipline and hold back.

I don't hate Blatt, he's a good coach. But he still coaches at times like this is Euro ball, just trying to win every game.

The NBA is too long for that shit. Especially a team like us.

I don't think you have the correct view of Popovich lol

Well after he got shat on by everybody for every loss last season, what do you expect him to learn?
Again, I think what we got out of this game, and the experimentation with other kinds of lineups and plays is much more important than the extra 3 LeBron minutes.

Why does it matter how Love got the points? He is good at several things, and getting the most of him meaning exploiting those very things, whichever works for that specific night.
Listen to Love's post game interview after the Toronto game and hear him talk about how well he was used that night.

Even in the postgame interview at the end of the Toronto game KLove talked about how all of his threes came through the offense whether through set plays or O-Reb, and that they worked him inside out.

But hey, according to some people on here we are "misusing him". Their opinion > Kloves
Love is averaging 4.2 elbow Touches a game this season.Last season it was 2.9 increasing as the season progressed.

The people talking about Love being misused last season (me) have been proven correct as Blatt is using Love in the elbow and his(loves) overall offense has improved

Blatt on KLove Sitting: "It wasn't plan going into 4Q, it was just working well for us. I talked to Kev & he was "Coach, F it's goin well stick w/it."

Blatt should've put him in regardless and tell him "PEOPLE ON RCF WILL THINK THIS IS A BAD MESSAGE I'M SENDING YOU!!!"

Why not ride the hot guys on the court, plus we have a game tomorrow. Need Kevin to come out with energy tomorrow.

Last I checked he was top 5 in post touches in the league as well. Confused why people care more about Love's #'s than wins.

Here is what Coach should have said,: "Fuck that, you're an important part of this team, and we're winning or losing with you out there. Now, get out there and make some fucking plays for your team."

You don't think Kev wouldn't went out there and played defense(which we've seen him do) after that ?

Well shit if Love said it himself, I can't argue it really

No.
Because he was mismatched the whole game and got obliterated time after time.

Your mind reading abilities astonish me.

It's not about his points man. We don't utilize him in the easiest of ways. Dude, his shots in the game often came off broken plays, or being a decoy. WE need to utilize a guy of skill better than that.

Like I said, he PLAYED GREAT tonight, basically in spite of not being really involved at all. He's not always going to have games like that though.

It's good this is early in the year, so we can still work these things out. But we are going to need Kevin Love if we are going to do special things this year.

A night where LB has to play 38 minutes, against an average team, where Kevin could have easily shared a lot more of that burden is frustrating.

Blatt didn't make the best use of his roster tonight. Hey, coaches have off nights too.

I don't want to fall back into last year's pattern with Kevin. That Kevin won't win us a title. Teams are better. We have to be better this year. For us to be better, we need Kevin Love to be himself.

Just be glad we got the win and hope we correct a lot of things from tonight.

No they are not.
Listen to the post Toronto interview.

Love is hitting all of his career averages this season.

Not that it's a great play. He's shooting 17% in that place - I think 5 points all season.

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/elbow/?sort=TEAM_ABBREVIATION&dir=-1

He does pass it almost 90 percent of the time from that position, gets an assist 8 percent of the time. I am curious if after he kicks it out, how many times the Cavs end up scoring on that possession, regardless if he's the one to get the assist. Either way, I think the 17 percent shooting from there is just an aberration due to the extremely limited amount of shots taken(0.1 makes per 0.4 attempts).

Thank you for the stat though!
