Game 16: Cavs @ Hornets, Thursday, November 27, 2015, 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good win on the road against a team that had won 7 straight home games .

He's been the best player for us tonight. So yes, he is stupid thinking Tristan Thompson on an off night is a better option than an all-star on a good night.

7-12, 18 points, 16 boards. Don't play him! He's been costing us the game tonight.
Delly Smith and Jefferson were playing well tonight. so you either play Lebron or Love at the 4

Name one team that doesn't ALWAYS close out a game with their superstars in?

Why does it matter what other teams do? Are we trying to win basketball games or emulate other teams for the sake of it?

LeBron is our super-star power forward when we close with him at the 4.

At no point is Love EVER a super-star Center. He's a power forward. He plays one position.

Sometimes, we have the best player in the world to play that position a little differently, tonight was one of those nights.

Exactly. Look, I'm glad we won. I don't really care that much. We won against the freaking Hornets, tey should have buried this damn team.

If we are going to win a title, we NEED KEVIN LOVE!

And tonight, he played well in spite of us NOT using him well. We didn't use him well at all majority of the game. Then he gets benched the entire fourth.

The team, and Blatt used him poorly and could have cost us the game. If this costs us a playoff game, it's a huge deal! That's my concern, are we going to continue to miss use him down the road, too?

It's stuff like that we need to shake out of. We've done a better job utilizing him this season, but the Kevin Love/Cavalier relationship still isn't a completely comfortable one.

It's better to work it out in November, when these games aren't that important.

what is defense

They were running it through him in the beginning of the game and he looked pretty good. A bit slow on some close-outs to the rim (though Tristan was too, he's faster with lateral movement and switching), but helped stop some layup attempts as well. Don't remember him much in the 2nd half. Overall he looked 'ok', but there's defiantly room for significant improvement.

So still not the Moz we got last year? Is he well on his way back to that form very soon or far from it? Really worried about the big guy.

Bullshit not playing Love. PURE BULLSHIT!!!

Situation basketball not playing your superstar? REALLY?!?!?!

The actual definition of situation basketball... Playing what fits the game, not who earns the most cash.

Yeah because somehow Love inhibits in someway from winning? He can guard Marvin Williams...

He couldn't for the entire game. Without him in the 4th Charlotte only scored 14.

I think he'll be fine. It is his first game back after sitting for some games, and he was pretty rusty before that too. Just have to give it some time, not worried about Timo.

Blatt went small in the 4th, and that worked PERFECTLY. Love can not play the 5. Certainly not defend Jefferson.
He can only play the PF position at an all star level. Bron was our PF in the only lineup that worked for us the entire game.

Why is that hard to understand?

Look, the last two games they've not used Kevin well at all. That's just the bottom line. It's November, winning and losing these games aren't that big of a deal.

But I tell ya, when it comes later in the year, they better figure out how to use him better than just a decoy for majority of the game.

This is the time of the year where we should be working out the things we're not doing well. Focus on that. Not go with the things you're just doing well.

We played LB 38 minutes tonight, against the freaking Hornets! In November. Things like that is just silly to me.

That's just bizarre thinking about only winning each game, and not planning for the long haul.

We're not playing to beat the damn Hornets! They are garbage. We should beat them in our sleep. We are prepping ourselves for the long haul.

People get that, right?
