All about defense. Charlotte doesn't have the individual talent to beat us if we are engaged. They couldn't get anything going in the 4th once we stopped getting blown by and leaving guys wide open.

Need to start bringing that for longer periods so we aren't forced into so many down to the wire games.

I don't get why Love is the only one of our all-stars that gets this treatment though. Could you imagine Kyrie or LBJ not playing in the fourth quarter? I can't.

There were some atrocious calls down the stretch. Glad to see the guys overcome it. LeBron had his arm grabbed and they missed it. TT had his jersey held something fierce. No call. But we fought through and won.

I get what you're saying but players talk shit all the time. If this was a one off then he won't mind but if we sit him in fourth quarters like we did last season, then I don't think he will be happy at all especially when he is scoring and rebounding the ball as well as he did tonight.

When LBJ is at the 4, either TT or Moz is the 5 for the vast majority of time.

The equation is not that difficult to understand.

You live and die with Kevin Love's defense because we need him getting better at that end. We also need him, going forward, to make plays in crunch time.

I've said this before; if am Love am going straight to Griffin and Gilbert, and I leave the room knowing it won't ever happen again.

What kind of message is this sending to Love or more importantly his teammates ?

Everyone bringing this up is in it for the drama. Meanwhile nobody wants to point out Mo sat the whole quarter as well, but that won't get as much attention as Love sitting so let's just sweep that under the rug.

Funny how nobody wants to talk about the defense or the fact that they won the game. People care more about ESPN headlines.

Exactly. Look, I'm glad we won. I don't really care that much. We won against the freaking Hornets, tey should have buried this damn team.

If we are going to win a title, we NEED KEVIN LOVE!

And tonight, he played well in spite of us NOT using him well. We didn't use him well at all majority of the game. Then he gets benched the entire fourth.

The team, and Blatt used him poorly and could have cost us the game. If this costs us a playoff game, it's a huge deal! That's my concern, are we going to continue to miss use him down the road, too?

It's stuff like that we need to shake out of. We've done a better job utilizing him this season, but the Kevin Love/Cavalier relationship still isn't a completely comfortable one.

It's better to work it out in November, when these games aren't that important.

They were running it through him in the beginning of the game and he looked pretty good. A bit slow on some close-outs to the rim (though Tristan was too, he's faster with lateral movement and switching), but helped stop some layup attempts as well. Don't remember him much in the 2nd half. Overall he looked 'ok', but there's defiantly room for significant improvement.

He played 30 minutes and got 18/16.
