Game 16: Cavs @ Hornets, Thursday, November 27, 2015, 7:00 PM EST

lol... what message? That winning > stats?
Titles > winning regular season winning or stats.

Its all about developing habits and the process of getting there, never immediate success.

Message to Love: I, your coach, don't have a single ounce of trust in you to be a deciding factor in our winning. You have flaws and I want to expose them to the whole world and the rest of the NBA to exploit. I don't have 100% confidence in you.

Message to Love's teammates: You guys shouldn't really trust this guy to go down in the trenches down the stretch with you. When shit hits the fan, I gotta sit him. I mean you trust my judgement right ?

Wasn't watching the game but not surprised we gave them nothing with both Mo and Love off the floor in the fourth. We did struggle offensively so you have to give something up. I like that Blatt will go with what's working. Props to him.

Anyone think Gregg Popovich would give a shit about sitting Kevin Love if his best line-up on the floor was with LeBron and Thompson?

Bet $5 to RCF we see the Spurs sit Aldridge(even when fully healthy) down the stretch this year at some point in favor of Duncan and Diaw. Takers?

We're not playing to beat the damn Hornets! They are garbage. We should beat them in our sleep. We are prepping ourselves for the long haul.

People get that, right?

100%. It's about the long term. ALWAYS.

Blatt got on the podium in the preseason and said they were gonna be using Love to his utmost worth. Benching him, is a fucking copout.

Blatt went small in the 4th, and that worked PERFECTLY. Love can not play the 5. Certainly not defend Jefferson.
He can only play the PF position at an all star level. Bron was our PF in the only lineup that worked for us the entire game.

Why is that hard to understand?

Love can play the five depending on the matchup (-cough-Draymond-cough-), but you're right, tonight it just wouldn't have gelled.

The lineup tonight in the fourth helped win us the game, pure and simple. It's nothing against Love, folks, he played a fine game, it's all matchup based. I don't believe there's any hard feelings from Kev, he looked psyched on the bench. On to the next one!

Look, the last two games they've not used Kevin well at all. That's just the bottom line.

Last game Love had 21/13 with 5 threes. How much better do you expect him to be used? He's posting up big numbers and comes out big for us on a lot of occasions both in the paint and from downtown.
He is miles better than last year.

I agree, LeBron shouldn't be playing 38 minutes in November. But we are trying all kinds of things, and finding all kinds of ways to win ball games. Today we saw something that we didn't see this season, and it ultimately won the game for us.
I think the experience and the things we can learn from that are more important than the extra 3 minutes LeBron played.

With a healthy roster at the end of the season last year we didn't win 30 of 33. Didn't happen.

Even in the postgame interview at the end of the Toronto game KLove talked about how all of his threes came through the offense whether through set plays or O-Reb, and that they worked him inside out.

But hey, according to some people on here we are "misusing him". Their opinion > Kloves

Love is a good basketball player and knows on some Nights he will sit for Lebron to play the 4.
When Jefferson is playing well or matches really well against the opposing teams 3 . theres a good chance Love will sit.

You are absolutely nuts and blowing shit way out of proportion.
Love is not better than LBJ at the 4 and he knows that sometimes he will sit to let him play the 4.

Like you said, most of his shots were 3s. My point is, even during some of these good games Kevin is having, they're not getting the most out of him, even still.

The biggest difference between Kevin this year, and last year, is he's just CLEARLY healthy.

But make no mistake, we still aren't completely sure how to get the best out of him either. That relationship is still a long way off.

My frustration is simple. LeBron played too many minutes tonight, Kevin was riding the pine. I think it was more because of lack of trust/familiarity than anything.

Blatt wanted to win this game bad enough to bring LB in the game earlier than needed.

Stuff like this is where I wish he'd have some Pop discipline and hold back.

I don't hate Blatt, he's a good coach. But he still coaches at times like this is Euro ball, just trying to win every game.

The NBA is too long for that shit. Especially a team like us.

Blatt on KLove Sitting: "It wasn't plan going into 4Q, it was just working well for us. I talked to Kev & he was "Coach, F it's goin well stick w/it."

"It was a situational game-time feel thing and again, Kevin gave us a heck of a game. in the minutes he played and we just played the lineup that helps us win. Will it be the same lineup? Not necessarily. We're just going to try to play to win games and not think about anything else."

This board is absolutely crazy even after a hard-fought win. This gives you an idea how "great" this place is after a loss.
