2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good. The committee looked at UNC the way I looked at them. That is only a play-in game for UNC if they completely dominate that game with Clemson. Good. It would set a bad precedent to allow teams to schedule two FCS teams and get into the playoff without going undefeated.

If Florida, USC, UNC and MSU all win, OSU will have to be in.

If none of them, OSU has 0% chance.

If some combo of them win....who knows.

I think OSU would be better off with Clemson winning so UNC can't jump.

I still think the path is a narrow one, because if UNC beats Clemson I'm not sure the committee is gonna be so quick to just take Ohio State over both teams. If you compare 1 loss Ohio State to 1 loss Clemson, do we REALLY come out ahead? I don't think so.

Alabama loss, Stanford loss (may or may not be required), and a Michigan State win. Alabama losing and MIchigan State winning, I think, are necessities.

I am not discounting that idea, but I can't imagine that happening unless UNC kills Clemson.

Even so, they have 2 FCS wins and a loss to a 3-9 team that lost to the Citadel.

Yeah, UNC at 10 has me not worrying about them...OSU was what, 6th before they beat a ranked Wisconsin team 59-0 and they barely got in...don't think UNC gets in with a simple win.

Think all it takes is a loss by Bama or Clemson and OSU is in business...No way a 2 loss conference champ gets in over a 1 loss defending champ, especially if MSU wins, so that would rule out Stanford and Florida for me, should they win.

Florida isn't even worth mentioning...they are at 18. They could win 100-0 and not get in.

I just hope at least one of Bama/Clemson lose on Saturday. I want a chance for the selection show on Sunday.

I'm not so confident in Ohio State getting in ahead of Stanford.

But I'm probably even less confident of Ohio State getting in over 1 loss Clemson.

In the end I am not expecting OSU to make it. Treon Harris pulling out a win against Bama is highly unlikely.

Timing of your loss matters...why Bama is #2.

And I just seriously can't see a 2 loss conference champ get in over a 1 loss OSU, based on if MSU beats Iowa.

So apparently Long said that UNC's strength of schedule is just brutally bad. (Not hard to believe when looking at it). He said it's not even close to OSU's and that ours is extremely superior...

So yeah, UNC has no chance unless they win 59-0

I don't necessarily think that's the case anymore. Notre Dame lost for the second time and dropped all of 2 spots. I could very easily see Clemson losing a close game and dropping to 4th, which still means Ohio State is out.

Ask yourself this...if Bama loses to Ole Miss that same week OSU loses to MSU, are they still #2? Are they ranked ahead of OSU?

Doubt it...timing matters.
