I am not that enamored with him as some are. I think he's good, but hasn't come close to suggesting he'll be a true superstar, IMO.

Just those players I mention, are right around his age. And all of them, are better, or have shown a lot more upside to me than KP.

Embiid is so injury prone, so, I won't put him above KP as a prospect. I just think so much about KP is unknown, and you're taking a giant leap of faith with him.

He's a good player, make no mistake. I'm not saying he's not, at all. I do think if you trade him for Kyrie, we become worse.

And we can't afford that.
I'd definitely put Embiid over KP. It's not even funny how good Embiid already is. I'm not even talking YouTube highlights here. What people are over rating Porzingis to be, that's Embiid

Cavs - Bledsoe/Batum/Monk
Hornets - Kyrie/Shump
Suns - Kemba/Lamb

How did Monk fall to 12th? He is perfect for today's NBA and was the best shooter in the draft, be it from catch and shoot or off the dribble.

Bad measurements, below average defense.. projected to be a very good 6th man.

Its all bs.. you never know with players like monk.

If you get offered Porzingis for Kyrie, you just have to take it and run.

Also, Kyrie is NOT a generational talent. Maybe it's just me, but I reserve the 'generational talent' label to dominant 2-way players. Preferably guys who don't run away from championship contenders to be a 30 ppg scorer on a shitty team. Also, guys who don't laugh at their teammates behind their back.

LeBron is a generational talent. Kyrie is a talent.

''Our story is LeBron knew this was gong to happen''

Creative....can people who write use spell check once in a while???
Good Lord...The rats are starting to come out now. At least this whole summer has taken the spotlight away from GS's championship like they did with us last summer.

I'd likely pull the trigger on this.

Charlotte receives: Irving, Shumpert

Cleveland receives: Walker, Kidd-Gilchrist, and either Monk OR a 1st round pick

Charlotte likely says no. But we can be picky, as we have the greatest asset, Kyrie.

Kyrie is a generational talent. Show me a more gifted player with a basketball. Kyrie is more gifted with a basketball than LBJ.. Lebron's physical gifts and basketball mind are just on another level.

Curry isn't a generatinal talent either then.. Durant wasn't till this year until he decided to play D. Kyrie's problem is his mind and his fragile body. He was actually a decent defender and a good passer in college.

Curry wasn't a generational talent, but his work ethic and determination made him special.

What matters is the end result, but Kyries basketball gifts are undeniable.

Kemba is better than Bledsoe. I expect a big season out of him. Unlike Kyrie, he hAS improved each and every season.

I want kemba straight up.
I actually like the Bledsoe/Rose pairing better.

Also I think Bledsoe's game would allow for Love to step up more. If we get rid of an elite scorer in Kyrie then there has to be more of shift towards Love being the #2 guy on offense.

Kyrie's gifts begin and end with scoring the basketball. He certainly isn't more gifted with a basketball than LeBron. He can't pass well. He doesn't have good court vision. He isn't a good playmaker. He can't play defense. To me a generational talent has to do more.

Best ball handler and below the rim, finisher at the rim of his generation.

NY is not trading Porzingas...

Porzingis.

And they have to if they want Kyrie Irving. We'll see how much they want him.

You think Dan Gilbert and Koby Altman want to send Kyrie to one of his preferred destinations after these stunts? Absolutely not. But they will, if said destination is clearly the highest bidder.

There's only one way New York is that bid.

I was just going on health, but I agree, Embiid to me is a better player with better upside.

I think so many have fallen for the media hype regarding Porzingis. When in reality, he's just been good. Definitely nothing that special, at this point.

He hasn't improved that much at all, either. Which is troubling to me. I know it's just been two seasons, but still, not even some growth?

More efficient as a scorer; he's improved there. But every other part of his game is actually been down, not up. Not dramatically down, but still nevertheless.

Even his scoring isn't that much better. He's gone from 25.8 points per 100 possessions. To 27.6. That's a smudge better.

His offensive scoring efficiency is better, but still just average.

Rebounds, blocks, steals, assists, and actual defense all down from his rookie year.

And people are getting that excited over him?

If this is basically all he's going to be, with some improvement in the scoring department, he's going to end up being a big time disappointment.

We're going on hype and what we think he might be, than what he's demonstrated so far.

Not saying he sucks for the record. Just if he's on his way to being a superstar, he needs to improve a hell of a lot more.

Can something happen already? Sick of coming in here and just seeing fat basketball nerds debate who they want more.
