Game Thread | Game #24 | Cavs @ Knicks | Dec. 4, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mobley is still unreliable on offense. For a future HoF he has been a disappointment on that side of the ball.
Mobley didn't get nearly the amount of touches he should have in this game.

Team went way too screen happy and it mucked things up when it was slow to develop and the shots were being missed late in the shot clock because the Knicks weren't leaving Mobley and the guards couldn't finish layups/others missing the three point looks off the screen dribble drive. Evan was finding players off the pass from the elbow/middle. He had some good finishes and drives. 1 turnover. He missed some looks he can hit, but he must've touched the ball a handful of times in the second half.

Would have loved to see him get more looks and some of it is demanding the ball/communication on his side, but that's not the whole story.

He still has room for improvement, for sure, but I just don't understand this particular criticism given the flow of the game.

Was a real bad night shooting, consistency in slow possessions, rotations, lineup combinations, guard play.

There was a play with Okoro where Osman ran right down the middle of the lane wide open and Okoro somehow couldn't see him but Mobley, who okoro handed the ball off to, did, and managed to make the pass.

But I mean the Knicks were really trash tonight. They turned it over MORE than the Cavs. They shot WORSE than the Cavs from 3. So Okoro's shitty minutes aren't the reason they lost the game.

Garland and Mitchell dominate the ball, dominate the offense, dominate the flow and control the game.

So if they both suck, the team is gonna probably lose. And they both sucked.

Why??? He gets the ball inside a lot and gets fidgety and dribbles away from the basket or passes it back outside!

Mobley needs to demand the ball. He is like the kid brother who needs to show his older bros he has arrived.

Just came in to say 2 things...

1) This focus on calling every single travel this season is the worst thing that's happened to the NBA besides the super-team/constant jumping teams shit LeBron started.

2) I thought we had the worst SF situation in the league coming into the season. It's even worse than I imagined... By a lot too. Okoro went from bad to unplayable. LeVert regressed even more somehow. Wade is made of glass. I mean.... When Cedi is your best SF by light-years, you're really in trouble.

uh oh, ad is on a tear right now

What does Okoro have to do to finally be the nail in the coffin? He has 3 years of suckage under his belt. Has a player ever gotten this much of an opportunity? This dude has been gift wrapped a career for fuck sake. Bizarre situation.

Cavs had some really nice offense to start the game, but when nobody could hit an open shot, they went away from it and never got back to it.

Mobley needed to be the hub in this one. Garland and Mitchell were downright awful.

In more ways than just missing a bunch of shots too.

They combined to really take the Cavs out of any offensive rhythm. They stopped the ball. They took some awful, momentum killing shots, they missed some wide open guys.
