Is it far fetch to say Tristan was our best pick up this off season? I don't think he's the BEST player we picked up. But the thing we lacked badly last year, is toughness, and the Knicks just bullied us in the playoff series.

Tonight, we bullied them! And it felt like he set the tone. We had one pit bull in Okoro, but we lacked one down low. Players respond to it. And TT came and just bullied them around, and the team responded.
 
Knicks with 10 more FT attempts tonight plus 13 more FT attempts than Cavs last night.

Not sure if it had any actual bearing on the game, but it was nice to hear Strus make absolutely 0 excuses after the game last night and basically said the Cavs got embarrassed.

Seemed to rub off on the entire team tonight and they played with some serious guts.. THAT’S LEADERSHIP

Strus would like to have a word with you. He's gonna fit like a glove when we are healthy.

Box score shows a 6 pt win but it feels like a lot more given the ticky tack bullshit the Knicks were gifted. They shot 10 more FT, we were down 2 starters and 2 bench PGs (RIP Ricky), and we took it to them on the road. Proud of everyone...... including sorry ass Dean Wade.

Most overrated franchise in sports. Last truly great NY basketball moment was Dr J’s championship on Long Island with the Nets. They keep thinking they’ll get great free agents to sign there but it never happens. This current Knicks team has very limited talent and isn’t going anywhere as currently constituted. Owner is a knucklehead.
 
Loved the effort. Lots of defense, tenacity and heart. Even if the Cavs would have lost, i would see it as a step forward.
 
So instead of focusing on hero ball at the end by Mitchell consider this….

If he didn’t score in the second half until about 4 minutes left in the game, that means the rest of the team, with no Garland or Allen, pushed us from a one point halftime deficit to a ten point lead at one point midway through the fourth

Not sure anyone would have predicted that
 
Most surprising aspect of this season so far is that Tristan isn’t washed. He might be useful all year as Allen’s backup.

Dude, I just stated I realized he's not the best player we picked up.

There's a difference between what a player brings skillset wise, and what a player brings that sets a new and better tone to the entire club house.
