2023-24 Season | Game #5 | Cavs @ Knicks | Nov. 1, 2023 | 7:30 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Individual stats.

Starters:
Niang 5-10-2 with a steal in 28 minutes. Personal high in rebounds.
Okoro 2-3-2 with a steal in 30 minutes. The key was his defense on Brunson.
Mobley 14-8-5 with 2 steals and 2 blocks in 35 minutes. He started slow and finished well.
Mitchell 30-6-4 with a steal and a block in 36 minutes
Strus 9-4-4 with 2 blocks in 35 minutes.

Bench: 35-15-5 in 30 minutes Best game of the year for the bench. I look forward to our bench when our starters are back.
LeVert 19-6-5 with a steal in 30 minutes. We missed him last night.
Porter 4-1-0 in 11 minutes. Not bad.
Thompson 6-5-0 in 13 minutes. Very productive.
Wade 6-3-0 in 20 minutes. Slow start, but key 3s in the 3rd quarter.

Thought TT changed the tenor of the game and, honestly, the spell in the 2nd half where Mitchell sat helped other guys get some confidence.

Very surprised by his ability to play at a high level. He could help a ton this season.

Also, for as much shit as Mobley gets for the offensive rebounds (which, I mean, I'm not sure how he's supposed to be the only guy challenging shots at the rim and then also boxing out Robinson, who does nothing on offense outside of camping at the rim waiting for rebounds), the Knicks bigs sure couldn't finish inside all night....

I’m afraid Max Strus is the new Cedi Osman. So hot and cold, it’s too familiar
Well, Strus is shooting 35% from 3 and 35% from the field this season; Cedi is 50% from 3 and 58.1 % from the field, so far

PS: I like Strus, that's not me throwing shade at him. He's going to be have a big role here. He'll be fine. Not worried about him.

Tristan has brought attitude, and toughness to this team. YES! I love it!

In one sense TT may be our most important pickup. This franchise and the fanbase have had their collective tails down after the Knicks playoff series. Strus called out the bullshit last night but TT lead the way banging these bastards inside. Dean and Niang helped and also got boards. I think some of our physical insecurity with this team was reduced tonight. It’s not so much building confidence as starting to remove the sense we just can’t compete with these guys.

We need to get past that Knicks series or the team and fans will be miserable.

Thank you TT.

Tristan is to me is definitely going to be in the rotation, and should. Hey, got to give JBB credit. He saw that TT should be playing. I think he's sucks as a coach, but at least he made one good move and went to him. That other guy sucked.

LOL, I’d reply to this but I already know @Rich has made the response post to this every season so I’ll leave it to him.

Also wanna give a shout out to levert. His d was solid as usual. Solid playmaking. He hit some nice shots today too to keep up the pressure

I cannot believe how well TT played. Donovan was Donovan. We didn't choke at the end. Caris was good. Okoro's D was great. Mobley solid and great team d. Good stuff.
