Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Akonrite: Calm down...okay "are you willing?"

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Just keep in mind, we can win a championship without Amare. There are plenty of other good deals on the table, and even without a trade, we have one of the most competitive teams in the league.

If this doesn't go through, it's not the end of the world.

We could very well lose to Miami if they get Amar'e

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Here's the thing though.

Pat Riley is being an asshole and is using Ferry's "soft deadlline" to his advantage. It's easy to tell he is taking his good old time uping his offers, or trying to find a 3rd team to facilitate a deal. If you notice, there really is never any news or progression on the Miami front.

For all we knew, Miami was probably going to stand pat at the deadline. They never really got involved into any major trade discussions until the Cavs pursued Amar'e strongly. So Miami really has nothing to lose by playing the waiting game in hopes that Ferry has to walk away from trade discussions with PHX because of timing issues, and wanting to get something done with another team.

Exactly, if Riley knows about the deadline and the Suns not being overwhelmed by our offer, he can do just enough to keep the Suns interested, Ferry making another move instead and then it's just "You take our offer now or Amare leaves to Miami in summer."

Worst situation is if PHX & MIA push Cleveland out by playing waiting games, and then MIA is unsuccessful in finding a deal for Amar'e. I'll be pissed!

Ferry has shown to be extremely aggressive this trade deadline though, and I bet he does not go out without attempting a haymaker punch. Today is the day to go all in. Offer who they want within reason, or simply knock Miami out of the water by offering to take on Jason Richardson. I don't see how Sarver could walk away from that.

PLEASE CLEVEAND! FOR ONCE BE THE LUCKY ONES!!!

I agree 100%. I haven't even heard an official offer from the Heat yet or a 3rd team mentioned. Riley only stepped up his game when Cleveland made its offer. Also, it seems that the Suns don't want much to do with Beasley, or the expiring deal of J O'Neal (speculation). To those of you who think the Suns might not even trade Amare, I don't buy that only because it seems that the team is at the point of no return. Meaning, Amare' name has been mentioned so much that it has become a distraction to him. As the Suns insider said, Phoenix is not leaking anything out, and if it is true that the Cavs upped their offer (Paul Coro wrote about it today) then I do think Phoenix will eventually agree to the terms of the trade.

I completely agree that we can win a championship. But if the Rockets make that trade with the Knicks then the Knicks can sign to MAX free agents. I would rather have Amare on our team for the future or Lebron staying.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Steve Kerr if you really are a good friend of Mr. Ferry please do this trade now.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

I don't like this overconfidence from the fans saying that we're going to run through Miami, Amare or not. How about we focus on each team like they're the best opponent in the league, play against them like it's Game 7 of the finals, and go from there. Ok?

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

"Robert Sarver is involved in EVERY basketball decision we make."

That's what I like to hear. :D :D :D

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

I just participated on the vote on cleveland.com and I voted on.... Jamison. Very plain simple: I'm to buzzed about the Amare trade that I cannot believe that trade will get done, but instead it was a good wake-up call for the Wizards.

Let's see what happens, but hopefully I don't have to wait too long :(

The Cavs didn't up their offer at all. That's what it's been for last three days.

Ummm... you are aware the fans don't actually play in the games, right? It's OK if we look past teams that can't beat us.

Miami can't beat us. Not without Amare. Not with Amare. And not even if the fans "overlook" them.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Damn the Lakers can quietly acquire Gasol without any competition but the Cavs have to go thru so much drama to land a big fish.

Re: Amar'e Safari (Get on or die)

Pat Riley is playing mind games. He knows Cavs have other options, so he told the Suns that he will find a 3rd team to give them more assets. He knows that Cavs can't wait until the last hour of the deadline. So, if he stalls it, Cavs go a different direction, and the Suns have no choice but to trade Amare to the Heat, Pat you fucking bastard!!!
