15th Roster Spot?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The 15th roster spot must be a big. As of now, you have Mozgov, Haywood, Tristan, and Love. That's not enough.

Jermaine O'Neal.

I'm not sure about having three guys from Knicks. Two it's fine :D

Griffin preaching PG depth. Wolters would be a really nice get if he clears waivers.

I really liked The Jack Rabbit coming out of college, but I really don't think he does anything better than Delly. It would create competition, that is about it.

I suggest Will Bynum if they choose to go PG. Played two years with Maccabi in Israel prior to DET. Vet who can actually contribute if needed.

Dalembert, Andy's replacement.

I'm guessing Warriors, Atlanta and maybe Miami(although they got Whiteside now) is the competition.

Has to be a backup center I think.

Our two biggest roster holes now are at backup center and backup point guard. Of those two, backup center seems like the greater priority.

Griffin looks like he is on target here.

I count 13 active players:

Does Varejao take up a spot still?

Yes. The NBA no longer has any kind of IR. Only 12 players are active actually. Every NBA team can have up to 3 inactive players to bring the roster total to 15. They have to carry a minimum of 13 players. So Varejão takes up an inactive spot. They are at 14.

NBA teams can go up to 16 players if they suffer injury and takes them below 12 healthy players. The Pacers, Thunder, and Lakers have all recently been granted hardship exceptions that allowed them to go up to 16, but they have to cut a player as soon as one of the four injured players is able to return.
