2009/10 Preseason Game 8 - Cavaliers @ Celtics

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I beg to differ. I'll take someone who shoots better than 40% from three on a team that has LeBron James and Shaquille O Neal in a heartbeat.

So why wouldn't you take Delonte if he gives you that, plus stellar D and the ability to dribble? Cause Gibson may be better than Delonte at threes, but it isn't by much. The margin between the rest of Delonte's game and Gibson's more than makes up for the margin between Gibson's three point shooting and Delonte's.

Say whaaaaaaa?

Where did I say I'll take Gibson over Delonte?

Don't put words in my mouth!

Hell, I'm against Delonte being on the bench at all. Once he's ready I think he should start.

Boobie really is trying to be a point guard. He really is. He can make it work to some extent. 6 assist don't just fall out of your ass. He's also developing a floater off the drive. I'm just afraid that he's trying to do too much. Like somebody said above, I just want him to hit his mid and long jump-shots.

The really scary thought is that he was more productive than Mo tonight. That's my big biggest concern from tonight's game. I know I know, Mo had a wonderful game last night. You don't need to remind me, but look at the competition. He was an All-Star. All-Star's don't have many nights like this. BEFORE YOU CHEW ME OUT, I am by no means pushing to panic button on Mo. I'm just bringing it to attention.

:thumbdown @ tonight

hope the team scaled back, but even then, with BOS main guys out, it's troubling to have this type showing....

just got back from the game......team looked pretty out of sync....you could tell the starters havent gotten in the flow of things yet and havent gotten used to playing with each other....Lebron wasnt really looking to do much of anything and we had A LOT of one on one play......we had some flashes of what things could be like but I hope tonight was a far cry from what we'll see for the rest of the year

You know Mo's going to be suspended for shattering that guy's tooth... That had to be a veneer, right ?

No way a regular tooth disintegrates like that.... Mo rocked him..

Not too worried about this but I do think the first 10 or so games of the season aren't going to be as pretty as the next 10. I'd guess they'd start out something like 7-3 with the losses being against good but not great teams.

Awful game. Awful showing. Better clean it up for the opener.

I didn't watch the game (was it even televised) or listen, what happened at halftime and is there any chance players are suspended? Have players ever been suspended for leaving the bench in the preseason? If it was televised, is there a clip of what happened?

We're going to kick the shit out of them next Tuesday, if its any comfort.

I didnt watch the game. I did however read the hysteria over the bad performance. It is so tough to tell what you have with the Cavs in the regular season.

My best advice is for everyone to mellow out. Realize that this is a LONG NBA regular season and with a new group it is going to take some ironing out. Maybe we are 3 or 4 seed half way through the regular season until we get in a groove as a team.

We simply dont know what we have right now and the Cavs with Lebron James have traditionally been a shell of their regular season selves in the pre season. Go look up the records over the past three seasons, it isnt pretty.

Also, lets not forget that if Varajeo and Shaq dont work out we can always go small. At this point I think a starting 5 of Mo, Delonte, AP, Lebron, and Shaq would be very interesting.

you're smoking crack and being too positive jv if you think we are in the race being a 3rd or 4th seed at the halfway point lol.

This game doesn't mean anything, let's see what happens on Tuesday.

Its good to go in the season as a underdog. Celtics have all the pressure. :)
