2012 Cavs Summer League

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes, the fro's for the nasty streak and the free weights are for the iron muscle training. It's almost like you guys are skipping through my posts. I don't think TT is the next Ben Wallace though. He's more like the new TT. Well whatever. Summer League is for testing to see if you got better. Let's see what he becomes.

As for the rest of the roster:

Michael Eric - Temple (Undrafted FA) - 6'11" Defensive Big, 4 Years at College, Right Knee Injury for 6 weeks
Kyrie Irving - Cavaliers
Kevin Jones - West Virginia (Undrafted FA) - 6'8" Shooter, Below the Rim, 4 Years
Rob Jones - Saint Mary's (Undrafted FA) - 6'6" Defender, Not Great Shooter, 4 Years
D.J. Kennedy - Cavaliers & Erie (D-League)
Donald Sloan - Cavaliers/Hornets/Hawks
Garrett Temple - Junior Casale (Italy) - 6'6" Below Average Jack of all Trades
Tristan Thompson - Cavaliers
Dion Waiters - 4th pick
Tyler Zeller - 17th pick

This would be the rotation I'd expect. Once Irving is gone, I expect Sloan and bad offense to take over. Maybe Garrett helps a little with his ability to run offense. Either way, for the first couple games, I expect it to be fun. Then I expect it to be boring.

To me, his fellow draftee Kenneth Faried, is far more explosive. Shawn Kemp was ultra explosive.

I agree that TT doesn't have a lot of power in his game yet. He does have is very good quickness & height on his first jump. What sets him apart athletically is his second jump. He doesn't have to replant to jump again. He can bounce right back up. He's still trying to figure out how to use that to help him play basketball though.

Good observation. I think those second/third/fourth jumps helps explain how he wins a lot of rebounding battles when the ball isn't imediately snatched out of the air, or when there are missed putbacks. I agree, one of his biggest issues of growth will be in harnessing that athleticism and translating into basketball. He's definitely raw. I think I'm still optimistic, though, because of all the good reports on his willingness to get better. Love good work ethic and drive.

I'm trying to watch on NBA Broadband, but the application gets stuck loading at 93% every time. Anyone else having this problem?

OK, all good now. Must admit, this is pretty awesome - watching PJIII/Sully/Fab Melo now, Drummond later today, etc...

Kyrie was destroying the USA Olympic team...... I actually feel sorry for the teams that have to face our summer league team :chuckles:

So far these games feel like I'm watching a pickup game at the university rec center.......

Drummond had a block on Kanter and a nice step back jumpshot.

I'm going to a couple days in Vegas. Gotta think our roster is gonna roll some of those teams. I've never seen Kyrie, TT, Waiters, or Zeller in person, so its gonna be fun!

Summer League - where the only thing thicker than the humidity is the hyperbole. So far in this game they've compared Drummond to Hakeem/Ewing, Kyle Singler to John Havlicek, and Casper Ware to Isiah Thomas.
