Lebron gets his ring this year because he knows if he doesn't he may never get it with Wade's dwindling injuries. Hes been unstoppable. Cleveland Lebron. Good Luck OKC because they'll really need it. L-Train is back.

I guess I'm struggling to understand the argument here. What exactly does LeBron being better his first two years as compared to Durant's first two years have anything to do with who they are today?

I felt that comparing all of these players using all of the data we had available would be helpful in evaluating whether Rose, Love and Durant would be able to superteam their way to a ring. I'll allow that this particular data is less valuable than, say, where Durant and LeBron are now, or how Bosh's body of work compares to Love's, or how much better Wade looked as a playoff leader than Rose when the two faced off last year.

Speaking of that last one, one other thing Wade will give you that Rose won't is injuring an opposing key guard and getting the no-calls (i.e. Rondo...two years in a row.)

South Beach vs. Oklahoma City would be a good reason to play for Miami rather than the Thunder. Florida has no state tax, either.

We've already seen how Derek Fisher (who is near the bottom of that long list in current ability level, but in veteran championship-level leadership is near the top) chooses when it comes down to just those two teams, so there are no guarantees.

This is a Fisher who turned us down for the Lakers when they were still in a relatively "down" phase and we'd just made the Finals, and one of the biggest reasons he was even considering us in the first place was the Clinic, so it's not like he completely avoids the kind of distinction you mentioned. (Although I think his being from Arkansas worked in OKC's favor.)

OKC will win tonight.

It's all part of the game...

The one thing I wonder is who will be the elite teams in the west next year?

Spurs will be a year older and slower, the Lakers will be older and no bench. OKC needs help in the backcourt and with depth and will need to replace Fisher and Perkins cant be a guy you rely on for a long period of time.

As of right now I dont see anyone outside the Bulls that will give the Heat a run unless the Pacers add a couple more solid pieces. Boston will be in a major rebuilding stage. I just hope that the stars arent aligning at the right time for the Heat to make a run at a few titles because if there was ever a perfect time, its now.

Must-win game tonight for the Thunder. If OKC loses the game, i can't see how Westbrook or the Thunder bench will step up at game 5.. and Durant can't win alone. Russell have to start attacking the basket and stop chucking jumpers.

No way Stern doesn't make this 7 games. This thing has been a cash cow and Stern is going to suck that teet for all it's worth.

I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to change the rules and make this a best of 9 series just to force feed us a few more games.

That's sarcasm for those that don't realize it.

This sounds like the idea of a man who beats his wife, do you still beat your wife?

This is incredible.

Did anyone else hear about Iblocka calling LeBron out defensively? Basically said he can't guard KD for 48 minutes, and LeBron responded by calling him stupid. If LeBron does go "Cleveland LeBron" tonight then it's on Iblocka.

LeBron can't guard KD when he gets the ball.. the thing is KD is trying to get the ball mid post like Kobe and is simply being pushed off his spot by LeBron. OKC obviously needs to find ways to get Kevin the ball.. he is shooting almost 58% from the field after all.

For one Fisher is on record saying that the Heat let him know they were comfortable with Chalmers and Cole at the point (this is before Norris hit the wall) so OKC offered the oportunity for more pt and you would have to be naive to think that Fisher didnt value the posibility of meeting the Lakers in the playoffs.

Yep, they still have some tickets to sell.

Fisher was offered the starting job 2 years ago for what it is worth.. LeBron met with him the week he decided to go to Miami.
