Spewing out unsubstantiated opinions about something just because you don't like it makes you sound ignorant. Extremely ignorant.

Like say these:
If he is injured... It is a direct result of Spo running him into the ground with these overloaded minutes.

Got blocked. Fell on his tail bone probably trying to flop.
hmmm pot....kettle...kettle...pot :chuckles:

*and since when did people start having to substantiate opinions? Facts? Sure, but opinions. If thats the case nearly all the threads about the Heat/James since July 2010 should have been deleted within ten minutes. #HIlarious

It's funny that no one watches the NHL... and yet they still pull down the same revenue as the NBA? Sounds like I should get my hands in that business model. Generating money with out any consumers. The NHL must be doing something right.

Unless you are Canadian. Now is it substantiated?

This is how I reacted too.......

How the hell did this turn in to a hockey discussion?

Regardless of the outcome of the series, I just don't want to see Miami win in South Beach.

If they're going to do it, I want them to have to overcome an absolutely bonkers crowd in OKC.

The Thunder just have to steal home court back and let the chips fall where they may. They can shift a massive gorilla on to Miami's back with a win tonight.

I've been the sort of person who always waits until the very end of something. The games have all been close. Miami got a huge game out of their role players in game four. Tonight is going to be the best chance for Miami to put the Thunder away.

While I don't want to see the Heat win, if they do, so be it. It's not like last year where the Decision was still so fresh plus I think we all knew Dallas wouldn't likely get another shot at the title. Oklahoma City will. Should Oklahoma City fall, the pain of getting this far and losing to themselves should be a powerful reminder and motivator for the future.

Buckle up, this thing isn't over yet. I know Kevin Durant doesn't have that overt savagery to him, but I would love to see him channel his inner demon burn Miami's court to the ground.

OKC stands for everything done right. Small market, crazy passionate fans, built nearly entirely through the draft, no bitching to refs, no bullshit, etc.

MIA stands for everything done wrong. Colluding, Superstars joining together to make their path to the finals easier, flopping, grimy players, bitching to the refs (influencing calls), and their fans are an absolute disgrace to the NBA. They don't deserve a championship team but the players on that team are PERFECT for the quality of those fans. The way Miami plays and acts is so fitting for the "South Beach" folk. The cHeat organization reeks of lack of morals.

I'm fully expecting them to win tonight, proving to the world that shortcuts DO work. Horrible for the league, but even more importantly, horrible example for everyone who witnesses it. Kids and adults alike will sub-consciously see that it sometimes takes shortcuts and cheating to reach your goals. Hard work and following the right path lead to failure and pain.

It's just a basketball game, but it stands for so much more. This series symbolizes something greater. It isn't even about LeBron anymore; I despise D-Wade just as much because of their actions and mannerisms.

Tim Legler said on ESPN's NBA Today podcast that the first time Durant gets contact in Game 5 and doesn't draw a foul he needs to go nuts and get a T. It's clearly not Durant's nature, but Legler said that as a three-time scoring champ, Durant needs to take a cue from LeBron and Wade and draw more attention to when he is fouled. Of course, Legler also mocked LeBron and Wade for crying every time they shoot the ball. But the point remains.

I'm not sure if Durant should throw a tantrum or Brooks. I think we're well past the point where Brooks should have earned some fine money. He's not protecting his guys.

Durant is such a well grounded guy. He respects his elders and gets no respect for it.

This finals thread should be moved to the WTF thread.

You're right. Game 3 Brooks should have gotten himself a T. Game 4 in the 3rd quarter Brooks should have gotten two consecutive T's and got ejected. People may say that's giving away two free shots... but the Heat are already getting plenty of free shots regardless :chuckles:

I understand exactly what you mean, but I'm not totally buying that the Heat took a shortcut. I know what you mean when you say that, by the way they assembled the team and all that, but they've been through the trials and tribulations necessary to win. They had to experience the Finals lost last year, and they still fought there way past Boston with Bosh out and came back from 3-2. I mean, as much as everyone hates them, they have still shown alot of heart and deserve some credit.

Seriously? I guess lenseless glasses are so last week. C'mon Thunder, don't let this guy win the trophy.

Im willing to bet everything in my possession that if Wade, James, Bosh & Co. were suiting up in Wine and Gold ready to take down OKC at the Q tonight all those issues you and others have above would dry up like river basins in Africa. The whole time James was in Cleveland we wanted nothing more than elite free agents to sign here. In fact there was a time where the idea was to do the exact same thing Miami did and sign 2 max guys. All this good vs evil, more than basketball stuff seems real disingenuous.

The Cavs can straight out tank for a high lottery pick, but thats ok for the game, but 3 free agents, who happen to be friends who talk/think about, plan to play together equals bad for the game. Real self serving fellas.

It was clearly more than buddies getting together hoping to play on the same team. Riley was involved (which is clearly against the rules), the plan was made and two of the three quit on their current teams (Lebron in the playoffs, Bosh by refusing to come back from his injury even when he would have been able to). And they have all acted like entitled, whiny a-holes ever since. They brought on this "good v. evil" persona themselves. Even people who don't care about the Cavs, or sports in general, dislike the Heat. It's more than just disgruntled Cavs fans that are turned off by them and everything they represent.
