I don't see why McCoy needs to be traded at all. If he helps you get into the 2nd round as part of a package, fine I can live with that. If you are going to get some 6th or 7th round pick who has less than a 50% chance of making the team, whats the point?
Talk of team chemistry, hurt feelings, etc is crap. If you have the right coaching this is not an issue. If the coach comes in and says the truth and puts Colt in his place, I don't care if Colt's feelings are hurt, he better be ready to play if Weeden is hurt.
Shurmur/Childress/Heckert/Holmgren need to sit Colt down and tell him, Weeden is the starting QB, Colt will be the backup. That's it. If Weeden gets hurt, Colt better be ready to play. If Colt can't deal with that, then he's out the door. Don't stand for BS, just lay down the law at the start and be done with it.
