Cavs are probably playing russian roulette with beat guys to spill out good data vs. bad. Perhaps it was just The Bullshit Whisperer's turn to get it right (and to throw off the scent) and Lloyd had his turn last year. It always seems to be a different source with the right information, probably by design. If T-Rob actually was in town last night, the rumor almost certainly has legs to it. Seriously, why would he come to Cleveland otherwise?

But your bashing of Noel is making you look like someone who doesn't understand basketball. When you find yourself at the bottom of a hole, quit digging.

Well, for what it's worth, Terry Pluto, who has covered the Cavs and basketball in general longer than anyone in this forum seems to share my opinion in regards to Noel and was among the first to note what little actual basketball skill he has. He is RAW and most everyone outside of this forum seems to acknowledge that. Will he be the bust I think he is? Time will tell, but based on the success rate of big men taken high in the draft, the odds are heavily in my favor.

BUT A TALLER, MORE ATHLETIC DANIEL GIBSON!

:chuckles:
Most of us said, early in Boobie's career, that his biggest problem was his height, as he's a SG trapped in a PG's body, and is certainly missing a lot of PG skills. I'll take a Gibson with better handles, better athleticism and better height. Probably not at #1 though. ;)

Athletic young big.
Has a decent jumper.
Gives us another asset
More flexibility
More talented than what we could get with the 19th pick this year.

I hate making arguments like this, but...if it is that great of a deal, why isn't some team at 14-18 that needs a PF jumping to do this trade? There's something going on with TR that has made him much, much less valuable that the player teams thought he was at last year's draft.

I have no idea what that may be, but I'll just say that the guy looks kind of slow to me, with poor lateral movement. If you're going to be a hustle, banging big, you better have some athleticism if you're skill level isn't all that high.

Does McLemore have better handles than Gibson? I'm not convinced on that one.

Also, we already have a taller Daniel Gibson with better handles. His name is Wayne Ellington.

I don't think NBA front offices actually operate like this.

Im pretty sure this deal only works with a team like the Cavs who can absorb Robinson into their cap space. I'm honestly not sure how the alleged Chicago deal works at all since they are well over the cap and Houston is just trying to clear space.

Unless the Cavs FO has had a change of mind I'm guessing Lloyd is probably right about Robinson. With Tristan on the roster don't see much of a place for Robinson. Of course TRob could be good insurance in case Tristan is dealt during the offseason :detective

This Robinson stuff reeks of BS. If we want to make playoffs this year, Varejao certainly isn't going anywhere and we're not bringing another PF to take away minutes from Tristan.

If we get trob and The Bullshit Whisperer was right, The Bullshit Whisperer knows things

If we don't go after trob then The Bullshit Whisperer is a fucking joker and should retire, lol

The Bullshit Whisperer had the funniest line in his chat" I am ignoring calls from sources to keep up."

Everyone rags on The Bullshit Whisperer (for good reason) but he was the one who tweeted that something was in the air the day before the Speights deal back in January.

Lloyd was the one who suggested the Cavs would consolidate their 3 non lottery picks last year on a podcast a month before the draft. This year it almost seems like he's out of the loop in regards to what the Cavs will do on draft night.
