2013 NFL Draft thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not one of those guys who likes to throw race into any and every controversy, but damn it sure seems like he's bordering on a white supremacist attitude. Seems like his go-to move is "lazy and stupid" for black QBs even when everything anyone else says about that guy is the complete opposite, like it seems to be for Geno.

A team with a ton of holes trading decent players to create more holes they need to fill through the draft.

Smrt football.

It comes down to the age-old BPA discussion though. If Star is the best player in the draft (which he very well could be; he was ranked as the top guy in some mocks prior to the Combine), should we pass on him because we already have a good player at that position?

Gil Brandt ‏@Gil_Brandt
Going to drop Jarvis Jones out of first round. Not sure he's a first-round talent. #NFLDraft.

I'd love for us to have our own version of Ngata... Hell, we should have had the actual Ngata if it weren't for Romeo asking Savage for a pass rusher and us trading down for Wimbley. Let's not make that mistake twice, if Star is still there I really want to take him.

I'm just not sure he has the heart for it....

Am I overreacting a little bit because Star is already 23 years old, so he was dominating against lineman that were 3-4 years younger. That 2-3 years is pretty important for lineman because of size of a 19 year old to 23 is big. Maybe I'm overreacting but just my opinion.

They're looking to add extra picks...RT @BrownsTown22: @caplannfl what do the Browns do if they miss out on Milliner? Trade down?

Adam Caplan ‏@caplannfl
Biggest are: S, CB, WR, ILB. RT @clesports216: @caplannfl Other than CB, what do you think is the biggest need for the Browns?

Trade into the early teens for whoever wants to reach for Tavon Austin, pick Vaccaro, and pick up a second round pick to get The best CB available.

Or do the same trade down, pick Rhodes or Trufant, then get the best S available in round 2.

Either way, trade down IMO.

Completely agree with this notion. I think we go CB in the mid 1st since FS is deep this year. Either way, we need to get a 2nd rounder in this draft and build ourselves a secondary. Especially with Young getting cut, it becomes an overwhelming need. We have to have a plan since we cut Young because at worst, he shouldve been a backup to Ward at SS

I think we end up trading down for Rhodes as mentioned before in order to pick up a 2nd. Milliner looks great but the sum of Rhodes and a 2nd rounder is greater. Especially if we can fill a need.

My dream draft would be
Rhodes at 12
Swearinger in the late 2nd (or Rambo in the 3rd)
Scott in the 3rd (developmental)
Travid Kelce TE in the 4th
Honey Badger (nickle/backup)/Lattimore(why the hell not!?!)/or a utility lineman with the first fifth

Maybe use the other picks to position and trade up some of the others. Of we could somehow steal that other 2nd from Mia we could add a ton of talent.

I'm shocked by the lack of anticipation for this draft. I realize that there isn't really anyone groundbreaking at the top, but I can't remember ever being under a month until the draft and having such a lack of discussion.
