Nah, I doubt it's going to be the best one. But I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up in top5.
Edit: Sorry, misread you. Yeah, could be the best one thus far.
There's nothing that GS is poor at other than valuing the ball at times. They defend on the wings with Klay and Iggy and Barnes. Bogut mans the middle. They can string together stops all the time and then break games on offense with Curry/Thompson threes. They rebound with all their players. Tonight, Davis and Asik grabbed 30 rebounds but the Warriors out rebounded them anyway. They play with energy, get out on the break. Davis played a phenomenal game tonight and the game wasn't close.
It's hard to believe how poor the Pelicans are defensively seeing as how they have both Davis and Asik, but that perimeter defense is so bad.
They could be a Finals threat at this point. I very could see a Cavs Vs Warriors Finals before all is said and done. I think they have the best shot in the west against the Spurs this season alone. I can not wait till we play them that will be a real test.
My question regarding Golden State:
If you can put a long, athletic defender on Curry, can Thompson win a game on his own? Klay is a fantastic shooter, but how are his creation skills? We know Barnes, Bogut, Green, etc. aren't winning games on their own.
My other question is what are they going to do when David Lee comes back? He's still a quality scorer at power forward, but he's awful defensively. Conventional wisdom says to use him as a scorer off the bench, but then what happens if Curry is off or being locked up?
I'm not sure they have the playmaking to win playoff series against elite teams.
