Projecting to next summer....

Rudy Gay could be another mid level target. I loved what I've seen from him this summer.

Doubt that. He still has value around the league. Teams like Milwaukee would be willing to pay him. Sacramento is probably going to pay him 10-12 mil a year.

Rudy strikes me as the type that wants to win at the back half of his career.

He's made a ton of money already. Sacramento isn't built to contend.

I'm still on the Mozgov train.

He's 7'1

He has a low OFGP and high block numbers.
This what sucks about giving up a first rounder in the Wiggins trade. Really dont understand why after giving up the overall #1 pick that we had to throw another first rounder. Losing that one and another one to dump Jack reduces our ability to get guys like Mozgov.

The Cavs would really prefer to hold the Memphis pick and then the next available after that is th 2018 I believe

Lou Amundson worked out for the Cavs last week. He's the type I'm expecting they will probably bring in for a camp invite..he also has Phoenix ties like Griffin:

Lou Amundson worked out for the Cleveland Cavaliers last week, according to a source.

The Cavaliers are one of the teams Amundson is considering signing with on a camp deal.

Amundson was most recently with the Chicago Bulls.

Lou Amundson Would be a great addition to the bench. Like his game for this team. Good thinking griff and co.

A little caveman never hurt no one.

Memphis was forced to trade him because he wouldn't budge in his contract negotations (he wanted max of course). I don't see him as that kind of guy

I like Amundson. He is a shot blocker and a work horse. I have always liked his game/story. Though now he is 31 and I will admit I havent watched him much for a couple years.

Few notes on him:

1. I think his impact on the game is under-appreciated. Just like Ben Wallace with the cavs. He wont fill up the stat sheet but he is a good defender by understanding positioning and makes peoples shots at the rim more difficult even if he doesn't get the block.

2. He is much more athletic than he appears. He has a 34-36 in vertical leap which is pretty good for a white guy. He is also scores most of his points on the break or from assist.

3. Him, Delly, and Andy would get under everyone's skin when they are on the court together because they try so hard. I know specifically I have watched him play well against Gasol (great D and ball denying). He is kryptonite to a soft player like Gasol. He out works and plays physically on them which is what we need from our bench.

4. He took a punch from zach randolph and stayed on his feet.

Is he a good fit for the Cavs. I could see it. He could step in at the 4 or 5 for 10 minutes a game if needed and give the starters a break and not be a liability like we have seen from Jawad williams, Samardo Samuels, and Ryan hollins. But he is at the point in his career where I can't see him being upset with being benched if Haywood turns out how I'm hoping he does (but not expecting that honestly.)

I haven't watched much of him either, but he never struck me as a shot blocker. More of an energy rebounding type.

Better than advertised. but like I said he alters shots because of his defensive IQ.

I liked him a lot in Phoenix. A lot like Andy in game. Plays really hard, is super tough and physical. If he's still that guy, this is a great pickup.

I know everyone wants an elite shot blocker, but thats not going to happen with our remaining moveable assets. Fortunately we can draft some center prospects going froward because we still have some picks left.

I wouldn't mind Amundson - he could be a nice fit on the team as a low maintenance energy big.

Might be the best we can do until the deadline / buyout period.
