2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Parsons helped recruit Dwight Howard to Houston last summer. That said, his strong preference is to stay with the Rockets, which means that he only leaves if the Rockets are able to land a bigger fish, like LeBron or Carmelo.

Maybe it's just me but I think Parsons+Lowry > Melo when you look at that Houston situation. Lowry would be a nice fit with their current group. Melo is getting older and is just a bit too iso oriented. They already have enough of that with Harden. Bosh would've been the perfect fit but apparently he's just a little too comfortable in Miami.

I feel like Parsons and Bosh were their best case scenario.

Looks like Isiah Thomas turned down Detroit

Funny Detroit is spending all this money when Greg Monroe is a RFA...makes me think they won't match too many offers for him.

Woah!! I like Meeks and think he is underrated but that is some coin. Teams and players who are willing to not wait around on the Heatles/Melo decisions, can strike fast and those players can get some serious cash

Are we absolutely sure Dumars isn't still running this team?

Theyre gonna suck for awhile. What a waste of cap space.

Meeks had really good numbers this year, but I think that had a lot to do with D'Antoni's system, a whole lot of meaningless games, and there being no offensive options on that team. Wow. Typical Detroit move.

Ugh.

Like others have said I think we are going to see a lot of stupid contracts like that with so much money out there right now.

Hope we sit out, improve mainly through trade and play the youngsters.
