Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It'd take a lot of money to get Hayward. Jazz have a shit roster and a ton of cap space if I am remembering correctly. I doubt they let him go.

No one can.

Well, let me try --- Only 4 players in the NBA last year averaged 16 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg, and 1 steal per game. Three are named LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Michael Carter Williams ---- 2 superstars and the Rookie of the Year.

Now, who was the 4th player in that elite group ? Ummmmmm..........it was Hayward. And he is just 24 years old. You can sign a Vet to a contract you know he won't live up to at the end of the contract, or sign a young guy who can grow into the contract. Its a gamble, but his performance puts him in elite company. Not saying that will talk you into giving Hayward 15 mil, but its something to think about.

And remember, this coach likes to run and see ball movement --- Hayward fits that perfectly.

Does tha

Throw me in the camp that would prefer Parsons over Hayward. Either way, am all for Wiggins at the two with Waiters coming off the bench.

I like Waiters' game and we should definitely hold on to him until we absolutely have to pay him (ala Harden except we hold him for a year longer) and could also use him in small ball lineups.

If they plan on trading Dion I sure wish Griffin hadn't devalued him by announcing to the entire world they view Wiggins as a 2 guard.

Sign n trade for Hayward and waiters?

A 24 year old Manu Ginobili would easily be worth the max. But Hayward is not even close to being Manu Ginobili. Don't get that comparison at all.

While it's true that Hayward is not as good as Ginobili was at his peak (when he would have been worth a max), Ginobili wasn't even in the NBA when he was 24 :chuckles:

Hayward still has time to improve. In a situation like we're trying to build here where he wouldn't have to be the go-to guy like he was in Utah, I could easily see him flourishing and growing into that level of a player.

MCW and Hayward were on scrub teams, though. And by scrub teams, really awful teams.

I really think the Jazz might be bluffing on the match anything. They almost seem too vocal about it trying to scare teams away.

I'd be open to some sort of sign and trade though.

I said Manuesqe not like Manu but both players play similar on O both are good ball handlers passers that can run the offense for short periods both have nice mid range and 3 point shots and are similar athletic but, Manu actually plays good D something that Hayward is afraid of doing

Hayward is a great 3rd option. Not sure about a number 2. So $15 isnt worth it. If you can get him for $13 per year (flat), then he will be a great pickup. Anymore is an over pay.

Jazz will match anything we give

i'm not totally buying that. they couldn't reach an extension with him before the season and he had a somewhat disappointing season as their first option. might be a smokescreen...

FWIW, Larry Hughes averaged 22, 6, and 5, with 3 steals a game the season before coming here...

Sign and trade Hayward for Jarrett Jack?
