Unsurprising? I'm somewhat floored. 4-7 is 4-7. 11 games in. They hit the panic button extremely early.he's gonna be really good.
also, nice - albeit unsurprising - wojbomb for your early morning:

they only have 1 impressive win (okc) and are at the bottom of the league on both ends of the court. as i said yesterday, injuries are killing them and it's not entirely mchale's fault, but he is not without a lot of guilt either. would it have been preferable to get healthy, then evaluate the coach? sure. but shit is cutthroat when you are contending. if you think a coaching change is necessary, there really isn't that big a window to do it and still contend that season.Unsurprising? Alvin Gentry is next. NO is on the receiving end of some bad karma for firing Monty.
Also, is it safe to label AD injury-prone?
GS has won 12 in a row and reading through the post game quotes they sound miserable they only won by 5. All the player quotes talking about how they need to improve on things and do things better.
That group really "gets it". They had one of the younger rosters in recent history to win a championship, so to see them come back as ferociously hungry after winning a title as they have been is somewhat surprising. I thought they might have had a bit of a let down. It's been totally the opposite.
Having this kind of start without their head coach is that much more interesting.
I wonder how Kerr coming back is going to effect them.
The fact that people are devoting paragraphs to secret plans and putting LeBron at the center position tells me people are finally realizing we probably have no chance against this team in the NBA Finals.

Whatever happened to the kid at the draft who was crying when he heard the pick of Porzingis? Other than being in school, obviously.POR-ZIN-GIS

thunder not exactly a great comparison because their run of drafts is virtually unprecedented. three future top 10 players in the league in three consecutive drafts? and ibaka too? that is insane. "a couple of good drafts" couldn't be more of an understatement.I've been saying this for the last 2 years, but Pelicans should have blown it up. Trade away everyone but AD. They are wasting his good years by being mediocre enough to not get top picks.
Look at the Thunder. A couple good drafts in a row and they fast tracked to success. Pelicans should get a couple high picks, and hopefully clear the cap and hope a couple decent players are willing to come via free agency and they could become a serious playoff team in a couple years.
