2015 Cleveland Browns Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good thing Ray Farmer let Sheard go for a 5th round compensatory pick in free agency.

Guy had 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and just won the game ball on Sunday night football.

I guess Jim O'Neil's defense was just too advanced for him to be able to prosper in it. I am sure that draft pick will really make an impact.

Yeah, it's Ray Farmer's fault he chose to go play for New England over the Browns.

Terrible take after terrible take. You're providing quite the service.

Did the Browns even offer Sheard a contract? It would not surprise me if they didn't since they did the same to Ward. Now if they decided to not keep him because of scheme fit, I can understand it, but still would of liked to find a way to keep him/utilize him better. I believe it was only a two year deal and it was fairly priced, so that didn't seem like a problem. He was also good against the run and a player I think most would of wanted to keep. I really thought Pettine could of used him in the Mario Williams type role like in Buffalo.

Not like any of this matters anyways...

The point is Sheard did not fit in as a 3-4 OLB in Pettine/O'Neil's system as he's a much more effective player as a 4-3 DE. I'm sure the Browns would have taken him back if he wanted to be here at a reduced rate but that was never going to happen.

Can anyone remember the last time we had 2 1,000 yard receivers in one year? I know KW2 and Braylon did it in 07, but has there been any since?

Benjamin and Gary on pace for 1,000 each this year. Would be neat if they got it. Gary 1 TD away from tying Newsome's single season record for Browns TD catches for a TE. 2 more over the last 3 games and he would be the first Browns TE in history with 10 TD catches in one season.

I think Gary might get the record this week when he is gashing the Legion of Boom for huge gains as Johnny leads us into CenturyLink field.

Hopefully he treats it like he did Bryant Denny Stadium when he was with A&M and does the impossible.

Does he get emotional talking about his money laundering charges?
