2015 Cleveland Browns Training Camp Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, when they've gotten a glimpse into the playbook...they're able to create a scouting report and adjust accordingly.

It's up to Haslam to exercise self-control if this team (shockingly) doesn't perform well under Josh McCown/John Manziel's offensive play.

Wait, I'm not sure I get it.. Are you saying that these 3 days of camp show enough for the media to have an accurate idea of what they'll look like?

I don't think you need three days of camp to temper your expectations for this team.

I also don't think you need to look that hard to see a potential blow up if this team does underperform as compared to last year, given Haslam's reputation for such a move in his short time here.

This article from Petrak has a quote from Joker Philips describing Pryor's transformation into a receiver, including his role with special teams:

The Browns can get some flexibility into the return game if Gabriel takes the punt return job and the team doesn't have to use a position slot on Marlon Moore.

Sorry to interrupt the CLE media's day of torching Haslam. Hope Tramon provides what the Browns are looking for, which is a talented vet who can help get guys like Williams, Desir & Gilbert ready without needing them to play every snap.

It's almost as if the media enjoys the constant coaching/regime carousel of this fucking franchise.

Obnoxious.

Everybody loves to gawk at a car wreck, and the Browns have provided their fair share. Don't blame the dogs, blame Pavlov for training them. Fans enjoy it for the same reason they like shock comics, they know something horrible and offensive is coming that they shouldn't laugh at it but you just can't help yourself.

Edit: The personal digs are completely unecessary, especially this early. -Admin.

I disagree because I don't think this describes everyone. I think it describes a minority of a fan-base. The majority of a fan-base is watching because they have hope (both rational & irrational).

That's fair enough. I don't think it's unreasonable to temper expectations, either.
Honestly, I don't foresee a blow-up, but I'm certainly not saying it's wrong under any and all circumstances. I am, however, kind of laughing at how pissed the media in Cleveland is over the statement; like, it's nothing to get angry about. :chuckle:

This all said, do you recall the pre-season predictions that Pettine won't make it beyond a year last year? I think that kind of shit has to go.

We can talk about Haslam's itchy trigger finger all we want, I don't think Pettine will put himself into a position to get fired.

For the first time ever, I feel like the Browns have a coach who will be successful. He's not their first talented coach, but he's the first one to understand how to get out of his own way and also be very talented at dealing with players.

Nobody gets me. :chuckle:
