Whatever happens, we need two guys out of the 1st who will contribute in their first year. Way too early to say what we'll be targeting but we have plenty of needs.

I think OT, and front seven help on the defense is a good place to start.
I think we can probably wait to the second round to get a quality WR, but some of the guys may move up the board by late April.

In order of importance (IMO): DL/OLB, OL, MLB, TE, DB, WR

DL is definitely #1 priority in my mind. OLB depends on if we resign Sheard or not (It's 50/50 from what I've read on him)

MLB would be nice but I think Kirk and Roberson have been playing well this year so I'm not terribly worried about that.

I think a TE would be a nice luxury as well, again depends on how they go about Cameron.

I don't get the OT thing either, people have been trying to kick Schwartz to the curb for three years now.

8th amongst NFL RTs in pass protection this season.

Might be a weak link in the power running game, but I think that's manageable as he continues to grow and get better.

Still just 25.

You have no back-up outside Painter and McQuistan on the line. Greco won't be here forever and Mitchell Schwartz isn't a world beater. I wouldn't be mad to see them get another guy for the sake of having viable guys. Yeah, you can find an OT or OG in free-agency and I'm not advocating taking one high again, but I'm not trying to have to see practice squad guys playing musical chairs on a week-to-week basis, either.

We have two first rounders. We taking two guys on the D-line? Doubtful. Maybe a D-line and LB?

Heuerman would be a steal in the 3rd-4th round if he's still available. Not being an OSU homer...he is the anti-Cameron. Tough guy that can take hits. He is also pretty sure-handed. I don't know why he hasn't been targeted more this year in OSU's offense.

If he's still around in the third or fourth, something has gone terribly wrong for him this off-season.

Guy is going to do some freakish things at the combine, test off the charts and have film showing him being technically sound in all facets of the game including being a hard worker off the field.

I'd be pretty stunned if Heuerman isn't a first rounder, to be honest. Maybe early 2nd round.

Some team, especially if they have a good to great QB, is going to get an amazing player with him. One of the best all around TE prospects I've seen in a few years.

Re Funchess: Yeah, I'm all for him. Big guy who can play the role of a Jimmy Graham in any offense and I love his competitiveness. Has the potential to be an outstanding blocker, IMO, too.

I don't know why he hasn't been targeted more this year in OSU's offense.
