2015 Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'll say this... I have no problem trading the entire 2015 draft for a QB that will be our franchise guy for the next 10 years. I wouldn't think twice about it. I'm not sure Mariota is that guy however.

Absolutely....and if the Browns view Mariota as that guy, chances (and statistics @Lee ) are that he's not.

I think you would have to pull the trigger on 12 + 19 for Mariota (not if it required a future 1st, though, IMO), in all seriousness, if you really think Mariota could be that guy.

I'd happily do it in this draft. Because the talent you'd likely get at 19 is the same talent you'd likely get in the 2nd round.

Do you really believe this?

If we have pegged Mariota as the guy I am all for it, though a 2nd rounder next year would be more ideal.

FWIW, Matt Miller said he thought 12 and 43 would be enough to entice Oakland for 4....

If you trade up, I wouldn't want to give up both 19 and 43 this year.

I would be ecstatic if Mariotta made it to 4 and it only cost 12 and 43. That said, I don't think Mariotta makes it to 4 and if he does, I think the price raises significantly from that.

I saw an article talking about spread qb's and how difficult current metric systems are in identifying future NFL success.

I dont know what to make of Mariota to be honest, 68.6 Completion, off the chats td to int, but with best case to date being Cam or Alex Smith, doesnt make me jump at the opportunity to draft the next best from the spread offense QB's/

I think Mariota is who they want, the problem is the Browns can't trump San Diego's offer if Rivers is included

The Browns seem to be keeping expectations low on the whole subject because of that but if Mariota gets past 2, look out

Think they're getting a linebacker/defensive tackle in this draft? ;)

I'm surprised they brought in Grayson but left Petty and Hundley off the list.

No surprise Mariota is not on there. If they don't have a good feel for the guy by now they never will.

Petty is the same, also worked out extensively with O'Connell

Hundley is a bit of a surprise. They did meet with him at the combine though

In 40 college starts, Hundley had 125 sacks and 29 fumbles. That is evidence of a Weeden-esque pocket awareness.

So I was watching some film today and came to the conclusion that Todd Gurley is incredible.

He is my new Teddy Bridgewater.

We really need to bolster the damn front seven. I don't mind how this draft shakes out as far as who we get but with our 1st-2nd round picks, the only thing that I would say is a MUST is adding to the front 7. Even if we don't go receiver until later in the draft (or we trade back from 12/19 or something), that's fine, but we can't just get pounded by the run any more. This must stop!
