2015 Game #9 -|- #3 Ohio State vs. Minnesota -|- November 7th, 2015 @ 8:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is pathetic. Third and 8, the coaching staff calls a fucking QB draw for Miller. Nobody is fooled by that. The whole goddamn world knows he's going to run the ball.
On second down, they go empty and there is noone in the middle of the field. Run Cardale and if he's one broken tackle from a big gainer.

Yea, the 3rd and 8 call was bad, but the 2nd and 8 call? The got a WR wide open 9 yards down the field. The coaching staff can't go out there and physically throw the ball accurately for him. And I guess if you can't trust him to make THAT throw, then he probably shouldn't be the 2nd stringer.

How about he makes the simple throw?
I mean, he should be able to do that, but given how his short throws have gone this year, don't know thats the best course.

Give him some easy yards and force the D to account for him as a runner.

That's a route he used, slant to Thomas, so effectively in the playoffs...don't think he missed a single one of those throws...maybe you should start considering that he just isn't very good right now instead of thinking this is some conspiracy against him by the coaches.

Well, then I guess Braxton should be the back-up. Because if the coaching staff is that hamstrung to call plays for him because they can't trust him to hit wide open guys on short passes, and he isn't a particularly adept runner, what are we even doing with him back there?

He's missed a bunch of them this year.

Yup. That's exactly what I said.

Cardale is hot garbage without a possession receiver to bail him out. And he graduated.

Maybe.

I think he's he's certainly an adept runner, they just aren't using him. And if he can't complete a pass, either Brax or Marshall taking snaps would be better.

I think it's the opposite. He had the deep threat last year that complemented him well in Devin Smith, and having to account for him opened a lot of stuff up.

Am I the only one who remembers earlier in the season them running power runs with Cardale and him trying to break them to the outside?

I hope someone comes out with the inside scoop on what happened this off-season, because I can't for the life of me understand how Urban watched them in practice and named Cardale the starter. THere's no way the gap in the play between the two QBs this season wasn't at least somewhat apparent early on.

I remember them as zone reads where either Zeke ran it up the middle or Cardale took it outside.

Don't even make it a read. Run a QB power like Tebow used to. With their OLine and Cardale being 250, how does it not get 4-5 yards a pop?
