2015 MLB Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The refusal to capitalize I's is a dead giveaway that it's a Swisher33 and Kipnis22 respawn.

I've seen him/her on several different boards, too. Comes in way confrontational. Easy to spot and ignore.

Yea very true, I forgot about Swish but this does sound like him. Though I am still hoping that one of these years Dennis shows up and Boobie and him just go at it draft wise

From Peter Gammons:

There was a sense of mystery surrounding Brady Aiken in last week’s draft after failing to sign with Houston over elbow concerns, then needing Tommy John Surgery. But one team with a top ten pick did extensive medicals on Aiken, were told that there is no mystery, he had what doctors considered “a normal Tommy John Surgery” and that he should be fine for the Indians when he begins pitching competitively next summer. As one GM says, “with the 17th pick the Indians may have gotten the best pitcher in the entire draft.”

Rounds 2-7 all signed.

MarkoDano projects they'll be in the big leagues by September.

Saved $425,100 in our bonus pool thus far. Still don't know the figure on Lukes yet but probably under slot. Everyone other than Aiken should be under slot, including McKenzie, slightly.

*Update: $723,500 below slot. Still waiting on Garza (CWS), Lukes (Just signed-- no reported $ amount yet) and McKenzie. Obviously, Aiken is gonna get paid.....

Stewart and Strode both signed for 5k each...

"Brady wanted to get out and he wanted to get with an organization and have us take care of him and help him move forward toward becoming the major league pitcher we all think he can be," Antonetti said. "That was really a driving force in it, was Brady's desire to go out and get signed and that's why we were able to reach an agreement relatively quickly."

Have been going through Aiken's twitter this morning. Seems like a high character guy. All of his tweets he is thanking others, and talking about how excited he is to get to work. He has been retweeting Hillman since the moment they were both drafted, and he has tweeted several pro Cavs/LeBron things already. Seems like a guy that will come in and really love playing for this city, and make the most of his opportunity. Already love his attitude.
