2015 NBA Offseason Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Orlando executed the best rebuild in the league. Stacked with young, elite talent at every position.

He has been fun to watch in these games...

Orlando will be looking to trade that Tobias contract by year end.
I was pretty disappointed that he came back to begin with. I'm not particularly interested in seeing Tobias Harris play 35 mpg.

The pieces don't all fit together perfectly, but Orlando has a fun, young core with Payton-Oladipo-Hezonja-Gordon. I'd really like to see those 4+Vucevic grow as a unit this year.

Floor spacing is an obvious issue that group might have, also interior defense with Vucevic down there, but there's also a lot of upside that should be fun to watch.

If Anthony Bennett can't be on Minny's summer league team b/c it's his third year, where is he going to get his minutes this season?

Interior defense is suddenly pretty good with Gordon getting those PF minutes instead of Tobias.

I like Tobias a lot as a player but I don't think he's a good fit with that roster. He's really talented, just not the best fit. Hopefully they trade him and clear up those PF minutes for Gordon.

I like Gordon's defensive potential a lot, both interior and on the perimeter. It's a lot to ask of a 2nd year player to anchor a defense though, and to make up for Vucevic's shortcomings.

With the way the cap is rising, it was a no-brainer for Orlando to match Harris.

Best case scenario, he keeps developing and becomes an upper tier SF. Worst case scenario, they can trade him. No reason to let a valuable asset walk away for nothing when it isn't hurting your cap sheet.

I understand not wanting to let a guy walk, but they should have been looking for S&T options. There's just no chance at having a decent defense with Harris and Vucevic at PF and C.

He wouldn't be a bad option for Phoenix to put alongside Chandler.

That's where we differ. I don't think Harris will be playing much PF this season, if at all.

Payton/Oladipo/Harris/Gordon/Vucevic is my guess on their starting lineup with Watson/Fournier/Herzonja/Frye/Dedmon off the bench.

Well, PF is his best position. If they're playing him at SF he's even more of a liability.

Sources said Wednesday afternoon that Jordan is increasingly "leaning" toward a return to the team that drafted him, with the Clippers indeed optimistic he will stay in L.A.

That's coming from Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne.

Holy shit, are the Mavs about to get BamBoozled?

Even if Wes is healthy they still struggle to make the playoffs.
lol no. if he's healthy and deandre doesn't back out, the mavs will be really, really good.

i hope wes gets healthy too. been a big fan of him for a while; criminally underrated.

that would be super fucked up for deandre to do. more importantly, it would confirm he's a beta little pussy and is willing to be cp3's bitch again.

as an aside, this is a good time to point out the moratorium is fucking stupid

They've done a great job getting young talent. Though, they don't have somebody to lead the offense. I'm not exactly sure the pieces fit together. I think Hezojna will be ROY this year though.

Looking at how each player projects, Hezonja is the only one truly touted as a guy who can score. The success of their rebuild is really dependent on Oladipo's development on the offensive end. If he can't become a knockdown shooter/all-around scorer, it will be tough to keep him and Payton together.
