2015 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't understand why I keep seeing "No Clippers." The Rockets were the 2 seed and they beat the Clippers. Like how is this a step down in competition?

Few reasons for me

1) The Rockets backcourt is a laughably bad matchup against the Warriors.

2) Clippers beat the Warriors in the playoffs last year. Doesn't mean much but still something.

3) The Clippers had a bizarre collapse that I still can't explain in Game 6. They lost, sure, but for 80 percent of that series they looked like the better team.

OK, is it just me being a nitpicker or does it bother anyone else that ESPN is constantly putting up graphics with spelling errors? Tonight we just had this gem:

"Warriors Effecient Offense".

I mean, Jesus H. Christ - you're supposed to be a professional news organization and you let THAT get on the air? And it's not just that one. I notice spelling errors all the time with them.

They are trying to appeal to their fanbase :chuckle:

Why does seeding matter? Atlanta is the number one seed, we are the two, and they suck balls right now.

The Clippers were clearly better, more talented, they just literally gagged that series away.

They lost the series more than Houston winning it.

GS has not really been tested against a really good quality opponent.

That's not a knock on them, and me saying they're not really good, but they got lucky and avoided all of their competition in the West.

No one thought NO, Memphis, and Houston had a chance against them.

They went through the weakest part of the West.

Clippers were healthy for the most part and closed the season really well.

Rockets look terrible. Nobody can hit a shot and energy level is way low. Looks like fumbling away Game 2 broke them.

Man, is Houston terrible. Really would have thought they would have come out with more fight after squandering two close games on the road.

These Conference Finals might be some of the worst in history.

Both the WCF and ECF.

I must admit, I have no idea how we'll guard Steph Curry, and that scares the shit out of me.

Get healthy Kyrie.

The plan was never to stop Curry. The plan was to make him work.

Healthy Kyrie drops 25+ on him and Shump guards him on the other end of the floor.

Sadly that may no longer be the case.

Oh and for all those who dismiss the importance of Kevin Love. Sometimes you need that legit 3rd star to keep you in games if your other star is off the first half.

I am sorry, there were only two other teams capable of coming out of the West other than GS, and that's SA, they got unlucky and had to play the Clippers in the first round. And the Clippers, they had the talent to do it, but obviously not the mental capacity.

Memphis and Houston are not serious contenders, sorry. Those are teams GS should beat.

Bogut before the game said basically they are fine with Harden going for 40 and a near triple double every night because they are more focused on making sure that secondary guys and role players don't beat them.

Probably an early insight on how they will plan to try and deal with Lebron.

yea if kyrie was healthy we could use him to gas klay. but if both he and curry don't have to play on both ends, idk.

definitely letting everyone but klay and step shoot tho. rockets running out on iggy. wtf

So cool that Curry gave a shout out to one of my favorite players ever in Steve Nash. And even cooler Jackson took it one step further, and gave a shout out to my favorite Cav of all-time Mark Price.

Looked like Curry stepped out of bounds on that behind the back pass, and then he hit a 3.
