2015 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rooted for the Spurs the past two years, time for the Cavs to win the Championship and that is much more likely if the Spurs aren't in the finals. At least the Clippers are making the Spurs work to get to the Rockets. You gotta figure at some point after getting to the finals back to back years and not having home court vs the teams in the west they will tear down.

Clippers in trouble spurs are getting open 3 after open 3 and are shooting a grossly 31%. When they get right it's over.

Guys go look at the 3 JJ hit to make it a 2pt game in OT with 5 seconds left. He caught the ball took 3 steps than Boris closes out in him perfectly with his hands up just standing there. JJ than takes 2 dribbles and hits the shot. How any ref can let that slide is mind boggling.

Any link to the incident?

Duncan in my opinion should already be in the discussion for top 5 NBA players ever...
The things he does at this stage of his career are beyond ridiculous. Parker, Kawhi, Manu, all are great but it will always be Timmy's team, and one hell of a team it is...

Duncan is Bill Russell's one true heir.

Yeah, looked like 90% of handoffs in the NBA to me. grabbed the ball with one foot on the ground, took his two steps, then dribbled, which the NBA allows.

He did appear to "scurry", which involved more than 2 steps. They probably didn't call it because it didn't look that unnatural.

I looked at it a lot closer than I did the first time... Caught the ball with his right foot on the ground, took 2 steps (left than right, pivoted on his left foot (moved his right foot twice in a row, which is why it looked like a travel, but he left his left pivot foot in place). Now, are you allowed to pivot on the first step's foot or do you have to pivot on the second step's foot? I'm not sure, but I am fairly certain the rule is, catch the ball with one foot on the ground, first step establishes the pivot foot and the second step is considered a pivot, which then allows you to pivot all you want on that first step's foot. If this is the case, what he did was 100% legal.

He also dribbled before lifting his left foot, which is why, in my eyes, it wasn't a travel any way you look at it.

The NBA is *extremely* lax on this rule, regardless, so I really can't complain that it was a no call. It's a no call 99.9% of the time (and that 0.1% is Joey Crawford upset that Timmay or LeBron is stealing the show from him).

The hell kind of rule. If in the case it should be done every time. That would be the most unguardable move in the league history. You expect the guy to shoot after taking 3 steps you'd fall the the head faje 99% of the time.

Aren't you suppose to dribble before moving your pivot foot anyway. If your going for a layup they won't let you take 2-3 steps before dribbling. At least I hope not.

If you catch the ball on the move, you get two steps. That's how I understand it, anyway.

Which is the reason a guy like Tristan can catch the ball and take a step or two without dribbling before dunking it. You see guys do this all the time on pick and rolls to the basket.
