2015 NFL Draft Thread - April 30 - May 2 - Chicago, IL

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The defense is never getting off the field with Manziel or McClown under center. Nothing we do in this draft changes that.

Might be nice to have guys to like, develop, for down the line if we ever do get a real QB. You know, then we won't have to be like, "Rookie won't help us this year!" in THAT Year, because he won't be a rookie.

But don't mind me!

It's not like pass rusher wasn't a serious need though.

This Orchard guy looks pretty good, solid pick. I think our defense as a whole got much better.

I like receivers, they're nice, but they are overvalued a lot. A good QB and a great line I'll take all day long over gifted receivers.

Look at what the Colts are doing? Absolutely shit. They draft another receiver, when they need better protection for their paper line that blocks in front of Luck.

I want a receiver, it's a need, but its not a must or bust one either.

Not a fan of the Orchard pick... he just seems to lack explosiveness. He'll be a non-factor in the NFL, imo.

Apparently Gregory asked for the Dez Bryant treatment (personal handler for constant surveillance from whatever team drafted him) hopefully that helps him keep on the straight and narrow.

Cowboys hit a home run with that Bryant pick when he fell for similar reasons, in a few years I think this is going to go down as the steal of the draft.

They said the same about Terrell Suggs, speed can be overrated when it comes to pass rushing. His 40 is almost exactly the same as Suggs.

Looks like they have just switched to showing the picks on the bottom line.

The Miami kid, Rollins, was just picked by the Packers.

Nah, I'm fine with the pick. Not sure if I'm just resigned to it or what. Just making conversation.

I just think receiver is one of the most overrated positions in sports. It's not that big of a factor. No team has ever done great things built around their receiver.

Give me smart route runners, and guys capable of producing. Seattle's receiving core is nothing special either, they have a good QB, not a great one, but their line is awesome, they dominate the running game in the trenches.

Their offense is definitely capable enough to win a super bowl. If the Browns take that route, they'll be alright.

It's not that I necessarily mind the players we're taking, I take serious issue with the thought behind it based on our team.

We are a bottom 5 offense and may have the worst combo of QB and offensive skill players in the league.

So how do we improve there? We don't. The only offensive player we've taken so far is at by far the best unit we have on the team. It makes no sense.

When we have the exact same offensive struggles next year, fingers need to be pointed at Farmer. This is getting ridiculous.

Onto round 3.

Browns have 77, aka the 13th pick in the third round.

Still have 3 4th rounders. Hard to believe we won't trade up either from 77 or 111 into the third.

Instead of drafting an rb, any way to get Zac Stacy on the cheap? He ran pretty well behind one of the worst lines in the league....

A rookie WR will not transform this offense from bottom 5/10 at all..

Their thinking is run the ball more (and better) behind an even better OL and don't put as much pressure on the passing game.

Adam Schefter said part of the plan for Randy Gregory is to have a security guard and personal handler watching him 24/7.

Crikey.

But we did when we were running the ball, pass blocking and run blocking was great, and route runners had more time to get open.

Pass protection and a really good running game is much more rookie QB friendly, than just gifted wide receivers.
