Also it is mystifying how McCallister was ever considered a viable option over Salazar.
Maybe not as a regular season Manager, but I believe Leyland had a very tough spring training camp which seems to come into play each year as being best friends with the players doesn't work in spring training. We just don't seem to be ready to play on day one.Child please
The Greg Popovich of baseball wouldn't have this team above .500 right now. Tito has been squeezing blood out of stones for two years. He is one of our best assets. Not everyone will agree with every one of his decisions, but to think Leyland would come in here and do better than Tito is laughable.
Apologies if I missed it earlier, but is Salazar up for a spot start/injury or is he now here indefinitely, dependent on his performance?
