2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Browns already have a guy who could do this...
The Browns have a young qb with pocket awareness, pre snap intelligence, great vision, solid footwork, an accurate arm that can make all NFL throws who lives in the film room and has outstanding work ethic? In what alternate football universe?

I will keep saying this every podcast like a broken record. The Browns can help alter thier next 15 years by finding a way to secure Goff. Will it solve all our problems no. But it will put us in a great spot if we can get Compitent GM to surround Goff with talent. This is the franchise changing qb we have been waiting for.

I have Goff a notch below Luck coming out of Stanford and a notch above Mariota coming out of Oregon. Earlier in the year I thought he would have to sit for a half season and get used to pro style offenses. But I have to say, he has been under center so much more, making plays out of sets aside from the read option and shotgun. I think he is likely to start from day one in the NFL.

The Chargers are out of the way now and I almost thought the Titans would be too. Can't fuckup this week and win.

Seriously, I'm done watching this dude.

It's over, he's the best player in America.

I'm almost in a sugar coma imagining how unstoppable he will be when paired with Barnidge

Duke

Gordon

You have to also throw in whatever WR we draft in the 2nd/3rd (if they go that route. We have no idea how they will go if Gordon is 100% clean & ready to roll)

..and the biggest person, I believe, is Hartline. Hartline will thrive next year if we can get Gordon back, maybe a 2nd/3rd WR, Barn-Man, Duke, Hawkins in slot.

We may actually have an air game next year.

Hue hue hue, good one Matt Miller, you really got us!

I know it's true, but Matt Miller is still a nerd

I agree. He's pretty good at his job, but he's a douche to people.

Miller is also the guy who wrote in his "fix the Browns" write-up that we should keep Manziel and draft Bosa #1 overall...

He's great at his job, but he trolls big time

Slim frame, WGAF. Small hands? Is he guessing from just looking at them on TV? Doesn't make his own calls on the line...isn't this the case with most college QBs? If this kid has the capacity to calmly go through his progressions in the face of pressure like he does, I like his chances to pick up the mental aspects of the game nicely.

Well, if scouts don't like him that does it. Scouts are never wrong about QBs. ever

Goff makes his own line calls, just not for the offensive line. The piece about his thin frame is accurate. There are accurate criticisms about every prospect every year. Seems like this guy is just playing contrarian, and doing it poorly.

I am somewhat concerned that should Farmer/Pettine be retained for another season, with an ultimatum of vast improvement, that we COULD pass on one of these QB's. Not at all what I want to do but I could see these guys loading up on D and hope it's enough to save their jobs.....
