I hope Kyrie is ready for John Wall. Jesus christ is that going to be a fun matchup. I hope both play like superstars.
There's no way we're going to put Kyrie on John Wall in that series in the first place, and Wall needs to be regularly doubled.

But why are we talking about the ECF now? :chuckle:

Its crazy how Wall is on a whole other level than kyrie right now

I don't even know if i trust to put Shump on Wall. Shumpert defends like a fool. He wants to get into the jersey of every guy he's on. This can work on slower guys but doesn't work when the guy you're bodying has way quicker footspeed. You'd think he'd have learnt this basic fundamental after the first twenty-something times quick guys blew past him. Shump may be the Nba's best defensive player who's the easiest to outsmart.

I think Liggins can check Wall. Oh, wait...

Not sure there's an alternative. We tried him on Beal and the result was just as bad.

The good news is Wall is going to be guarding him too (wear him down), and Kyrie is not Dennis Schroder.

Hell, Dennis Schroder averaged 24.7 ppg against John Wall.

Yeah...

People gas up Wall to be some great defender, but he's really not. It was funny watching Schroder do whatever he wanted out there.

Of course, Wall has been phenomenal in every other aspect of the game all season long. And seems to be playing at an even higher level now.

With that said, really not worried about the Wall/Kyrie matchup at all. Neither one will stop the other; they never have.

I thought his 3pt shot looked good tonight. He had 2/3 3pt shots that were halfway down

Great freaking game.

When Kyrie passes like this, we're nearly unbeatable.

One of Kyrie's best defensive performances ever. +53 ON-OFF. There was a blow by here and there but every PG has those. No defensive breakdowns again and again this time around.

The highest Cavs NET rating over a 20 game span in this second LeBron era was that stretch in the first year year with Blatt and it was the ONLY 20+ game stretch that Kyrie has ever been a plus defender in his career. When he was this team had a higher net rating than the Warriors. Kyrie defending sends this team into a completely different stratosphere.

Praying his shooting touch comes back so he can get 2-3 nuclear performances before the Finals.

Nice to see Kyrie's three-pointer come back, and he had so many beautiful passes that didn't end up in assists as well.

Cavs are unbeatable when he's slicing up defenses like tonight. Just an amazing performance on both ends of the court tonight.
